Shipping Plus/ ***** shipped the destroyed Antique Lamps (worth $1,000 each and insured for $1,000 each). Shipping Plus has ALL the documents, photos of the damage and all is still in boxes with the incorrect packing. On Aug. 20, 2024, my husband **** ********* shipped three lamps and lampshades at the ******, ******** Shipping Plus store. Two of these lamps were rare antique Red Murano glass out of Europe, with hand-painted ceramic flowers and 24 K gilded gold bases with lampshades. He had brought them carefully wrapped which the Shipping Plus store then unwrapped and poorly repackaged for shipment through *****. I insured each lamp, based on my knowledge of their rare individual value, but received in ******* damaged beyond repair. Over the next few months, she told me that ***** was not responding to her. However, should I speak to ***** myself, she would wash her hands of this Damage Claim. ***** called on Oct. 8, 2024, and informed me she received a check from ***** for $162 on my Damage Claim. She complained to me about how much time working this claim was costing her, taking away from her business. I told her that $162 was unacceptable and to keep trying to reach *****. On Dec. 11, I called and asked her to file an AG complaint and she refused. Then she called later that day, saying she's going another route with an Adjuster at ***(?). On Jan. 13, 2025, she called and says she is sending a Bank Wire Form so the settlement can be wired and hangs up. I call back on Jan. 14 and asked for the exact amount which she says is $425.On Jan. 16, 2025, ***** called and left messages that she wants this settled and wants the address to send the $162 check and another check ($475). She also sent an email that the devalued amount is likened to an automobile accident and condition of the car. I tell her I am not agreeing to anything until I make some phone calls whereby she abruptly hangs up on me. COAG, **** ******, Colorado Attorney General COMPLAINT #C-000035370.
