This storage facility is infested with mice. We observed several people who were clearly living in their storage units and presume this is how the place became infested with mice. They have been aware of the infestation for at least six months but failed to provide any notice to renters. Until they took over ownership we had no problems with vermin. The quality of this business has dramatically diminished since new owners took over. We have rented a unit here for about 7 years as we dealt with our deceased parents things and stored belongings during home building and reno projects. We picked this facility in part because the terms entitled us to the use of a moving truck at no charge. I moved things in and out on multiple occasions using the truck which required that I provide a credit card/id as a registered user of the unit. They still falsely advertise a "free truck with rental" but this is no longer the case. When I discovered that my things had been damaged and destroyed by mouse droppings I was enraged and complained bitterly to the managers. I was met with indifference and lectured on being respectful to them. The audacity! Then despite having a record that I am one of the users of the storage unit (I also have the key and the passcode to enter the unit), they tried to have me arrested for trespass because my brother's name is on the storage unit contract. The cops were entirely sympathetic to my distress and they were as grossed out as we were by the ungodly amounts of mouse droppings. Despite the manager making false claims to the police about my right to be there, I was not arrested. Later that night they sent a note to my brother saying he would be charged $200 because we had left (by mistake) in the hallway 2 pillows and 2 yoga mats contaminated/destroyed by the mice. This place is a threat to public health, **************** and it should be shut down until they provide notice & remediate the infestation. The owners are shameless and negligent operators.
