My name is *******. A few months ago, I went to Comfort Dental and was referred to Elevated Endodontics for an extreme pain in my back tooth. They saw me right away. I was charged 500. for a consult. The dentist didn't see anything and made me feel as though the pain was being imagined. Comfort Dental was a place I went to because I don't make a lot of money. The 500. charged by Elevated Endodontists was something I paid out if trust to get me out of pain. I gave him everything to get out of excruciating pain. The Endodontists said he didn't see anything and to come back when the pain reoccurred and charged me. The dentist and office were nice BUT it was a lot of money for an "I don't know. " "come back when you are in pain." A week later, I went to another endodontist, borrowed the money from a friend. It was 250. and he referred me. The dentist I finally saw was very experienced. I explained the pain. He told me, "let's get you out of pain and he did."I went to Elevated Endodontists in the beginning and they charged me 500. for a very expensive "I don't know". I later went to a different dentist for a fraction of the cost and that dentist helped me.

    Business Response

    Dear BBB,

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.

Due to HIPAA regulations, we cannot disclose any personal health information, but we can speak to the general circumstances surrounding this matter.
At the time of the patients visit, a full consultation was provided, including all required imaging and diagnostic testing. When symptoms could not be reproduced during the exam, our doctor followed standard protocol by advising the patient to return for a re-evaluation without taking any pain medication. This approach helps ensure an accurate diagnosis and was offered at no additional charge.
The patient was offered a same-day or next-day appointment but did not schedule or attend a follow-up. We also received no further communication indicating that symptoms persisted. At no point did the patient contact our office to request further assistance or express dissatisfaction until this complaint. Because services were rendered appropriately and the responsibility to schedule the follow-up was clearly communicated, we are unable to offer a refund. We remain open to speaking with the individual directly should they wish to resolve this matter with us privately.

    Sincerely,
    Elevated Endodontics

    Dear Elevated Endodontists,

Thank you for your response. As I was in excruciating pain, a response to me as a consumer to "come back when you have the pain again" was just not satisfactory. I did explain that I often experienced the pain at night, when a dental office is likely closed. I appreciate that you followed all protocols. My main point is that it was a very expensive "I don't know." I also felt that the Endodontist didn't believe me.

I did find another very experienced dentist that figured out the problem and told me, "let's get you out of pain." It was also half the cost. The subsequent dentist did diagnose and get me out of pain.
