In July 2024, I entered into a remodeling contract with Footprint Construction Castlerock, LLC based on Estimate #** for $40,340. I paid a $2,017 deposit on 7/17/24 (Invoice #****). Two partial days of demolition were performed on 8/208/21/24, resulting in incomplete work, mess, and minor damage. On 8/26/24, I received Invoice #**** for $8,435 labeled only Week 1 Demo. Despite concerns over the cost and vague scope, I paid on 8/27/24 expecting work would continue. That invoice was later removed from the companys billing system. No further work was done. After delays, Estimate #** was issued on 10/09/24. I found major inconsistencies: items removed or added without explanation, and one key line item changed to optional, inflating the price to over $56,000despite my prior payments. These revisions were made under Mr. ****** ******* direction.I formally canceled the project in mid-October and requested a full refund. I was told it would be processed, but I never received it.Crucially, I later learned the representative I dealt withNoah Horvathwas not an actual co-owner of Footprint, despite being presented as one. This misrepresentation was material and invalidates the agreements, prior to any other conflicts. Since cancellation, Ive followed up repeatedly with Footprint staff (**** **********, ****** *****) and ****** ******. Responses have been inconsistent and at times unprofessional. I even received a surprise invoice for the canceled estimate, while the company now denies Mr. ******* involvementdespite continued communication from his ******** date, *** paid $10,452 for incomplete work worth no more than $2,000. Im requesting a full refund due to nonperformance, irregular billing, misrepresentation, and contract cancellation.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/08/2025

We appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position. The matter described in this review does not involve Footprint Decks and Design ***************** which is a completely separate business entity from Footprint Construction Castle **********
The individual who left this review was involved in a business arrangement with Mr. **** ******** who operated out of the Castle Rock location alongside Mr. ****** ******. This reviewer also has a known familial relationship with Mr. ******** which constitutes a clear conflict of interest. Again, we emphasize: we have never had any involvementlegal, financial, or operationalin this contract, its execution, or any billing associated with it.
Our company operates with its own project management systems, invoicing procedures, and administrative staff. The names mentioned in this review (Ms *********** Mr *****) have no relation to this project nor to the Castle Rock location. Any communication that may have involved our names appears to be due to confusion between the entities or internal matters unrelated to our operations.
We respectfully request that any legal or financial concerns be directed solely to the appropriate party: Mr. ****** ****** of Footprint Construction Castle *********. We ask that our Colorado Springs-based team be removed from any public claims or disputes unrelated to our work, as this is misdirected and damaging to an uninvolved business.
    Thank you for your understanding.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 05/19/2025

Thank you for your message. I would like to clarify that the entity I filed a complaint againstFootprint Decks and Design Castle Rockis not some unrelated business but appears to function as a shell or alternate name for Footprint ****************, and is closely intertwined with Footprint Decks & Design, all of which are operated under or in connection with ****** ****** and ****** *****, both of which were heavily involved in the management of my contract.
All of my estimates, invoices, and communications were sent via email addresses and domains associated with *********************************************************, which actively markets both construction and decking services. These companies share personnel, branding, and contact information. In particular, Mr. ****** ****** has presented himself and conducted business across all of these entities interchangeably.
While the formal contract may reference Footprint Construction Castlerock, LLC, the actual transaction history makes clear that the businesses are closely linked. My payments and interactions occurred under the same brand and leadership, with no indication that I was dealing with separate, unrelated companies.
I therefore request that the complaint not be dismissed or rerouted, but rather directed to the appropriate entity under the Footprint umbrella, specifically Footprint ****************, which is responsible for the transaction in question and is clearly associated with the business name currently on file.
Please let me know if further documentation or clarification is needed.
