    Umzu is a rip-off cancelled a year before they restarted subscription and charged me $71 dollars after I had already canceled a year later charged then shipped a product I no longer wanted definitely shady business practices also all while I had flu then pneumonia on Dec 3 right when emails came I am extremely disappointed and want a refund of $71 would never recommend this company to anyone

    The customer first placed an order with us in November 2021 for a 30-day automatic renewal subscription which was first renewed in December 2021. From January 2022 through October 2022, the customer /skipped/ every scheduled renewal instead of cancelling the subscription.As the customer had not skipped the November 2022 order, it was automatically processed, after which time they cancelled the subscription; however, they did not reach out to us to cancel the existing order (created 12 hours prior to their subscription cancellation) for which they had received an order confirmation so the order was subsequently shipped to them.Though the order had already been fulfilled, shipped, and arrived early in December 2022, we nonetheless refunded the items from the November 2022 order (less shipping) as a courtesy. We did this within hours of receiving the first and only piece of correspondence the customer has ever sent to us (late December 2022); we refunded the customer prior to their submission of this review.At no time did the customer reach out to us along any of our ************* channels (e.g. email, text, voicemail) for assistance modifying/cancelling their subscription or cancelling their November 2022 order.

    They did offer a refund of 60 minus shipping fees I should be awarded the whole total of 71 this company had they looked at their records could clearly see a year had almost passed before they automatically charged and sent this product I still believe this is shady practices and would never recommend umzu as related complaints were also filed they are predatory and rely on time to pass before the charge your account a simple email could have avoided this correspondence and a fight for what is a fair business practices I now I want my credit information removed from their site and will never recommend their products I am a 55 year old man who can recognize shady practices and I expect a full refund not just 60 and an explanation that we usually dont do this as a consumer without customers there is no umzu dont pacify me like youre doing me a favor I feel disrespected and belittled by a company who should appreciate every customer they have the pleasure of having this is America

    We strive for providing exceptional customer service and respond to all customers requests submitted through our ************* channels in a comprehensive and timely manner. With that in consideration, and in keeping with our long-standing commitment to serving our customers needs, had we at any time received direct correspondence (email/voicemail/SMS) from the customer requesting our help with modifying or cancelling their subscription, we would have completed their request without delay, sending them a follow-up indicating as much for their records and peace of mind. Unfortunately, we had not been contacted to do this. Though the referenced order had already been delivered to the customer when they reached out to us by email, and though the order did not qualify for a refund as expressed in the policies outlined on our website, we all the same empathised with the customers circumstances and in good faith immediately issued our money-back guarantee, refunding the entire order less shipping costs when first they contacted us. Additionally, please be advised that we have removed the customers payment method from the system in accordance with their request. While were sincerely sorry to hear that the customer is not satisfied with our efforts to provide them with what we feel has been exemplary care, we consider this matter to be resolved.
