    I hired S&D moving company to move my belongings from ************************* 1/2 ***************** 5, 2024. After the move was complete, the movers asked me to check the trailer to make sure that it did not have any of my things left in it, and I paid them $800 + $100 tip in cash and CashApp for the two movers. I was not asked to check the cab of the moving truck to see if any of my belongings were in the front of the vehicle. Upon unpacking, I noticed that a box containing my medication was missing, along with a portable Bose speaker and a table lamp. The front office has mentioned that they will reimburse me $0.60/lb of missing items (~35 lbs) for the $1500+ of items that were stolen.

    This is a follow up to my original complaint (********) I filed on Oct 2, 2023 that they denied ever receiving, nor the follow-up from the BBB.I am requesting the following refund from S&D Movers. See below.They have acted in a unprofessional and unethical manner since we have been trying to resolve these issues. It started after I filed a BBB Complaint, and their denial that they ever received the original complaint, then the follow made by the BBB. Please resend them the original Complaint from October.Actually it started during the move when they took twice as long as the movers that moved us from our three story Condo to our three story apartment. In addition, when I pointed out to the driver that they forgot our queen size mattress, he called the owner, to get advise, the owner stated he would have to charge us additional time to drive back to the old apartment, pick up the mattress, then deliver it to the new apartment. He stated he was going to have to charge us for time and fuel.1. 1 1/2 hours x $159.00/hour = $258.50 for our time having to wait for the movers to retrieve our mattress from the old apartment, and take it to the new one.2. 5 scratches made by the movers from dragging furniture across the new floors after being told twice not too, totaling $500.00.3. 1/2 hour to move dining room table and putting the area rug down, and moving the table and chairs back. This should have been done by the movers. I had to get friends to do this being handicap as I could not. $79.50.4. 1/2 hour to pick up your movers packing material trash and dispose of it. $79.50.Total Dispute Amount - $917.50 I have also emailed them. If S&D Movers refuses to act professionally and ethically, and do the right thing, I will file a Small Claims, and allow the Court to decide for you. They have 7 business days to send me the refund. Thank you.

    They were scheduled to arrive between 9am-10am on 9/1. This was confirmed on the evening of 8/31 by text and email. Received two missed calls at 751am and 816am. They showed up unannounced at 826am. We were NOT prepared.Refused to provide me a detailed cost on materials, just a $120.00 figure.After several warnings about NOT to drag furniture on new floor, they dragged it anyway leaving several scratches which I'll be charged in 11 months when we move out.Did NOT place area rug under the dining table like I asked them.Owner (*******) tried to charge me an extra two hours because they left our queen ******** at the old apt and had to go back to retrieve it. After a heated discussion with the driver over the phone which I overheard every word, he backed down. What kind of criminal does this!? It was 100% their fault, then trying to recoup his expense from us! Wasted two hours of my time waiting for them. I should charge them $159/hr for having to wait for them.Left their trash all over the old apt NOT picking up after themselves. Another 30 min of my time I should charge them. Charged us $159/hr vice the $149/hr that was discussed on the phone. Says the $149/hr was for "cash" payment. How do they think we know how much the charge will be until their done?! They'd probably charge us for the time it would take to run to a ATM!They took almost twice as long as the movers that moved us in, and they had two sets of two flights of stairs up and down with the same number of men, and more stuff. These guys only one set of down stairs to maneuver. I wish to be compensated the difference between $149 and $159 times 7.5 hours.My two hours ($159 x 2 hours) of waiting for them to retrieve the ******** they forgot.Remove the $120 for packing materials seeing as they did NOT provide a detailed list of actual materials they used. An additional 30 min ($80.00) to pick up their trash.And, an additional hour ($159) for us having to move our table and put down the area rug that they should have.DON'T ever use these criminals! They'll rip you off!
