Scam Operation Disguised as ************ Avoid SDI Software at All Costs If I could give zero stars, I would. SDI Software (Software Developers Inc.) scammed me out of $59,000 CAD. Im writing this review to protect others from the same fate.False Promises and Shady Contracts In September 2024, I signed up to build a custom platform ( Auction, Engine Inspection App, and CarVAL) based on their pitch of being a U.S.-based, reputable software development company. The deal was Total Contract: $147,700 CAD Initial Deposit: $20,000 CAD Balance Due: Only upon full delivery after 5 to 6 months (I have written records of this agreement.)But thats not what happened. They Pressured Me into Paying $59,000 CAD Without Delivering Anything Despite agreeing on final payment after delivery, they constantly pressured me for more money without delivering even 50% of the work,They charged:$20,000 CAD (initial) and $39000 pushed to get from ***** working code was delivered for any of the projects. I read the fine print, I saw why:It allows unlimited outsourcing to Indian developers No liability for missed deadlines or ******************* refund, even if they dont complete your project. Arbitration clauses designed to block legal recourse This isnt a normal service. ***************** Face Everything Outsourced to ***** Their website and social media promote a professional U.S. image. But all development is outsourced to Indian firms. You get billed in U.S. dollars through an ***************** but youre left without any legal leverage when they dont deliver. No ****** Reviews.I Tried to Settle They Refused I offered a very reasonable compromise: I offered to keep half of amount paid They refused, and instead threatened me with legal action if I pursued arbitration. They know that under $75,000, many lawyers wont take the case its part of their strategy.SDIs Business Model = Scam with Legal Cover If youre building software:Hire a local developer with real references
