In January 2023, I became a patient at MINDPATH HEALTH. The dates of service ran from January 2023 - June 2023. I had two insurance plans, one through my employer (Pacific Source) and the other through my wife's employer (*****). Mindpath was in network with *****, which is how I found the company. My insurance was approved and since they did not bill out of network insurance providers, MindPath billed Aetna directly, rather than going through Pacific Source first. ***** paid the claims, I paid the co-pays, and then I terminated my services with them, because the service was not supportive. In June of 2024, I received a bill from MIndpath for all the dates of service at full price. Apparently ***** recouped their payments at the end of 2023. I called Mindpath immediately after I received the bill and they tried to explain what happened, but were not willing to help me figure out how to navigate the situation. I called Aetna and they explained that they needed a denial letter from my primary in order to cover the claims. Mindpath refused to **** Pacfic Source, so I had to manually send them the claims, which I did. They denied the claims and I sent denial letter to Aetna. All this time I was in contact with Mindpath. The processing of claims took time and they kept sending me threats of collection. Eventually ***** denied the claim again, and advised me to appeal, which I did. The appeal took several months to get results. Each time the claims were denied because it was outside of the year window of time for processing claims. The only reason it took that long was because MIndPath did not den me the bill until it had already been a year since the last date of service. I called Mindpath numerous times to explain that I was waiting on the appeal results, and they never answered. I left messages and never heard back. Now I am getting collection letters.

In December of 2022 I had a new job. Got my new insurance cards in. I called them to find a new medication doctor for my issue. I called my insurance and got mind path health information from them so I know my insurance was active them. They without informing me we're debating with my insurance on wether I had coverage which I did. I received in the mail a bill saying I owed the amount. I called and they told me to disregard the notice because I have insurance. In December they claim to have sent me a notice on my responsibility to pay which is a lie. In January of **** They charged my debit card that was only on file for holding appointments with them ****** dollars without any previous notice or conversation or chance to set up a payment plan. They over drafted my debit account. They were only given consent to charge me the 20 ********* pay before appointments. I want my money as well as the over charge on my account credited back to me. I did not give you consent to charge my account.
