    Their desktop doesn't open and customer service doesn't respond! Subpar company!

    I am writing to formally complain about Notion's refusal to issue a full refund for an accidental subscription upgrade.On Late October 2024 I unintentionally upgraded my Notion plan. I did not realize this error until January 2025 of realizing charges, when I noticed two charges on my account: one for over $100 from the previous month and another for over $***** I am currently unemployed, I would not have intentionally subscribed to a paid plan. I immediately contacted Notion customer support and explained the situation. Unfortunately, they refused to refund the charges for the previous months.I find this refusal unacceptable. I believe a full refund is warranted under these circumstances, given the unintentional nature of the upgrade and my current financial constraints.I respectfully request the Better Business Bureau's assistance in resolving this matter and obtaining a full refund for the erroneous charges.Thank you for your time and consideration.

    We have reviewed the complaint received from the Better Business Bureau dated January 15, 2025, complaint #********. We understand that the customer upgraded their account to a paid subscription plan in October of ***************************************** January of 2025. While the request was made outside of our refund window, after reviewing the account and customers request, we have issued a partial refund of $72.00. Additionally, we have cancelled future invoices for the customers account. We understand this to resolve the issue.

    Hi ******, 

    I am rejecting this response because of the following reason below:

    Issue Summary:
    1. Accidental Plan Upgrade: I unintentionally upgraded my free plan by error. As the sole user of this workspace, I did not require any plan beyond the free version. I did not intentionally subscribe to any paid plan, and there was no clear indication that I was enrolling in a higher-tier plan with associated charges.


    2. Billing Discrepancies: I have been charged $124, $72, and $24 on different occasions, totaling $220. This amount is significantly higher than Notion's advertised Plus plan rate of $10 per month (or $6 billed monthly with the discount). The inconsistency between the advertised pricing and the amounts charged is concerning. (See attached)


    3. Loss of Access: Adding to my frustration, my account access has been restricted despite these charges. This is unacceptable as I have paid for a service that I am currently unable to use.

    While I have received a partial refund of $72, I am still owed refunds for the remaining amounts of $124 and $24. I kindly request the Better Business Bureau's continued assistance in resolving this matter by securing the outstanding refunds from Notion.
