      SCAMMER ALERT STATE WIDE TOWING INC.??????I'm absolutely livid with the service we received from State Wide Towing **** Our driver, ****, had an unfortunate incident where he dropped into a small hole with a loaded trailer. The situation was already stressful, but what followed was nothing short of a nightmare.Firstly, we were forced by a police officer to use this specific towing company. When they arrived, we were given a runaround about the pricing. We were told that even if we declined their service, we'd still owe them $2500 just because they showed up. And for a mere 3-minute job of assisting our truck's back axle out of the hole, they demanded a whopping $4125!When we asked for a detailed breakdown of the invoice, they had the audacity to charge $1375 per hour. It's clear extortion, especially considering it was Labor Day. Our lawyer got involved, but they were unyielding, even threatening to tow away our truck. To add insult to injury, they mocked our driver, calling him an "IDIOT" and other derogatory names, all caught on camera.Another police officer arrived, and it became evident that they were in cahoots. He told our lawyer that the towing company could write a "MILLION DOLLAR" invoice if they wanted to, and we'd have to pay. Under duress, we paid the $4125, but they never even provided an invoice.I'm not sure if he was the owner or just a driver, but one individual from the towing company was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He hurled threats and obscenities at our lawyer, even making derogatory remarks about his family.I urge everyone to steer clear of State Wide Towing **** They're nothing but scammers preying on the trucking business and its drivers. We're preparing to report them to the BBB and the **** Beware of these bloodsuckers!
