Terrible customer **********************. They did not carry the glasses I have always used, they told me to go out of network and submit a receipt for reimbursement, no worries. So i do that, spend $580 expecting to get most of it back, then i get a check for $100. It says on the website $25 copay, $175 for frames, single vision covered, then savings on things like blue light filters, scratch resistant, antiglare, etc. I always get those things anyway. I do the math and im estimating based on my coverage (that shouldnt change based on where i do business) that i will get about $400 back. I call and ask about it being a mistake, I get some smug lady that tells me no its correct, we dont post the out of network rates but you are looking at in network rates. Im like I have always just bought glasses where i choose, submit the receipt and my eyemed benefits just covered it. So what is the point of eye insurance and paying $15 a pay period to have you give me $100 back? I might as well not have insurance. She said well during open enrollment you can just opt out. Worst customer ********************** ever. This should be illegal, its a scam!!!! Pay us $480 a year, and we will give you $100 in coverage unless you buy our extremely overpriced in network brands where they give us kick backs. No matter what they are making money off you. I will be handling all my eye care out of pocket for the remainder of my time with my company. I could have just paid $580 for my glasses instead of well over $1000 after premiums and copays for nothing. VSP is a joke, avoid them at all costs.

This business is dishonest and takes your money and gives inferior service. For example, to get $250 a year for eyeglasses reimbursed costs $25 per month or $300 a year. Moreover, This company forces you to give them the information before telling you the cost and then if you want to prevent them from selling or using your information or just to have them remove it you have to send a letter to them They don't accept online request to have their information not abused. This is a dishonest company in consumers should beware.

They will take your money - cover almost nothing - and make it virtually impossible to cancel your coverage, and when you do call customer ********************** expect to be hung up on at least 3 times. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!!! I would give negative 10 stars if I could.

This company is a SCAM. Avoid at all costs. They told me I went out of network and used all my benefits, even though the appointment was only $119 total and all I had done was a contact exam. I have no contacts and no glasses as they claim I used all my available benefits and I have to wait until next year. How can they even be possible?!

This company is a rip off, I signed up for a year and they charged me for 3 years! When I found out, I cancelled it right away and requested a refund or to be able to use the benefits. They denied my request. Not only I waisted the money but also time on the phone as you get bumped from one csr to another. Even supervisors are not empowered enough to make decisions. Yet, they suggested to write an email for a last review from upper management, NOTHING. A waist of time and money... THIEVES!

I refused to fill in Gender and Marital status on the application. The application would not allow me to move to payment, until I filled in those boxes. It is a violation of civil rights to require those two identities. Your gender has no play in an eye exam and of course, whether or not you are married, widowed, divorced or single does not make a **** difference in an eye doctors ability to examine your eyes! Are you kidding me? Because I left both boxes blank, and representatives on the phone could not, and would not allow me to bypass those two boxes, I have to keep searching for vision insurance. What a disappointment and unnecessary aggravation for potential customers. Based on other reviews, ********************** really is scamming customers. Who is behind them? Unfortunately, BBB demands a star review!! How do you fill in NO star?!?!

So vsp owns visionworks and let me tell you. The district in ** is the worst run business I have ever seen. They keep pulling the staff, they keep pulling the doctors. How is anybody supposed to make their goal?If they aren't given the tools on how to do so. There is no communication with the scheduler or the upper management of any sort. The human resource partner is incredibly childish And is just completely unhelpful. This is probably the worst optical place I have ever worked for. The entire company should just shut down.

I signed up for one year with VSP. My policy automatically renewed for another year without my consent. According to one of the representatives a renewal letter was sent out which I did not receive. I was under the impression the monthly charge I had on my account was from the first policy but had 5 months charged of the second policy. I asked for the policy to be canceled and the amount for the new policy refunded, they cancelled the policy but will not refund the new policy although no benefits were used. I cant imagine how many customers are also being charged renewal policy fees without their knowledge so therefore the money you are supposed to save through having a policy you are not saving at all. The company should refund the amount especially being that no claims have been made or benefits used.

No link online to cancel. New job; vision covered by new job. Called to cancel. HUGE runaround. "It will take us AT LEAST 3 months and 3 more payments before we can cancel you." When I said electrons travel at the speed of light, they called me, and I quote, "a piece of excrement" and hung up on me. Your bank MIGHT help you by blocking new debit transactions in the form of automatic payments, but that is not a guarantee.

I've been paying a premium all year and I'm not eligible until the last month of the calendar year. At the point, I will no longer be with my employer and will be unable to use my vision benefits. Vsp is such a scam. Find alternative ways to get vision care
