We signed our son, ****** Divine-*********, up for motorcycle riding class for certification to take his M1 test to get his motorcycle license. Found this company and paid $395 for the instruction and certification. After 1 class, the company informed us that his next class was cancelled due to the instructors getting heat exhaustion and all the students would have to be on standby for any future class. Since we had planned for this instruction well in advance, we had already booked trips and were out of town during the sessions they said they had openings for. Albeit, these were openings that were not made known to us until 1 day prior to their availability. We told them that we need more than a day's notice. They responded that he could call into each class to see if they had any cancellations and if they did, he could then join. We tried several times to do this and each time, there was no availability. At this point I asked that they just book him in an available slot a few weeks out and he will attend. That was not their policy. I tried repeatedly to explain that this was similar to an airline bumping passengers. It is up to the airline to book the next available if it's not the customers fault. This was the same situation. The cancelled class was not his fault, but now he was on the hook to try, every Sat morning at 630a to call in to see if a Sunday class was available. We were unable to plan anything on any weekend for weeks. This became truly unreasonable especially since it was not our fault and they had spaces available but refused to book him in those slots. We asked for our money back and they refused. We asked for a reserved spot and they refused. I asked to discuss the situation in person and they refused. I am hoping that the BBB can reason with them and either give us our money back or reserve a slot for him so he can complete his training.
