On 02/07/2024 my home was broken into and I was robbed, I was not at home. My truck was stolen from my garage, my home belongings were taken. They later found my truck on the 8th of feb. riverside county sheriff **** had the truck towed. Pines to palms towed my truck. I was out of town so I went to retrieve it on 9th of feb. my truck was there less than 24 hours, as you can see the charges. I have tried to reach out to solve the matter, but I only get crickets. Please help so it doesnt happen to another veteran. I have since checked other local companies and no charges are even close to these.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/20/2024

The person has been harrassing our company via phone, in person and social media, we have responded several times with the same response.  Outlined bellow, the charges are correct and set by the local sherriff dept.  The customer could have retrieved his veh the same day but chose not to.   Daily storage is calculated by calender day, his vehicle was stored for 2 days and the tow fee was 1 hr at $250.00 ( this price is set by the local police dept)  He could have had his insurance handle the charges but chose not to.   His insurance probably will reimburse him if he has full coverage as he stated to our office staff.

    Our response on social :

" It is unfortunate that the vehicle was stolen, you  were notified via the **************** that they had recovered your stolen vehicle, and it was at our impound yard. Your wife contacted our office the same day you were notified and asked for charges, you were in the background yelling that the contracted charges were like the ** show and you were being ripped off. Our office informed you both that these charges were set through the **************** and were not negotiable. Both of you were advised of possible charges and fees, you chose not to pick up your truck the same day and arrived the next day. To which you refused to pay and were inappropriate with our office staff. You walked out stating that you wanted your insurance to handle the fees and would not leave the keys for your insurance or sign the documents authorizing us to release the vehicle to your insurance. Only to return later in the day to apologize to our office staff for your behavior and pay for your vehicle.Days later you have been harassing our company via phone and social media upset that you were a victim of a crime and should not have been charged to pick up this vehicle. The Police station has explained the reasoning of charges along with our company provided the service of recovering your stolen vehicle and storing it for 2 days. Our company has done nothing wrong and complied with our contractual agreements. It is unfortunate your circumstances, however your hostile behavior and immediate accusations towards our company are unacceptable and unwarranted. Stop calling and harassing our office staff, we have nothing further to discuss with you in regards to this matter."

Now *************** continues to harrass and state false statements in his complaint with the BBB.   We have nothing futher to discuss or reimburse with this case.
