    Received a letter in the mail from a company called "First Choice Consolidation Group" and called to inquire about personal loans. The person I spoke with was nice and although no specific amount was discussed a guy named **** only had given us info on what to fill out on the form included in the original letter but after the phone call I discovered they ran a soft credit check and after about a week you didn't hear anything, No notices of any kind by email or follow up letter. I then called back to follow up on this since the letter had stated I was pre-selected for up to $75,000 and I spoke to someone named "*******" who was part of their management. She told me that I was rejected because I over-extended myself on my credit cards which was not true. My credit score at the time was a 680. Nothing else was said, just hung up the call. I am complaining because this is false advertising. There was no discussion about an amount. they just ran my credit and denied me. I did go through a loan request with different companies in the past but in those cases they did quote me loan amounts on the spot and that was legitimate and we did go through with that. This one did not give me that experience, it was very fishy and suspicious that "First Choice Consolidation Group" never gave us an amount and instantly denied me.

    Dear Ms. *********************** you for reaching out to us regarding your recent experience. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding that may have occurred during your experience.

    To clarify, on Friday, October 18, you spoke with our representative about a letter you received regarding loan consolidation. During this initial conversation, we gathered preliminary information and sent you a document for a soft credit inquiry, which you indicated you would complete over the weekend. You requested a follow-up call for Tuesday, October 22.

    When our representative called at the scheduled time, we learned that the document had not yet been completed, and you requested an additional call for the following day. On the morning of October 23, our representative noted that you had completed and signed the consent document, including your personal information and the amount you wished to consolidate. At this time made sure your application was transmitted to our Lending Partner; however, due to a family emergency, he was unable to contact you immediately afterward as he went on an unexpected bereavement leave.

    When you called the next day for an update, you were connected to management to discuss the results of your application. Unfortunately, we had to inform you that our lending partner did not approve your application. We advised you that our lending partner will be sending you an official letter with the specific reasons for this decision, which may take a few days to arrive. Please let us know if you have not yet received it.

    We reviewed the call recording and from our review our staff did not rush, dismiss, or hang up on the call. We realize you still may be disappointed from the experience. If you would still like our assistance, we are willing to connect you to other lending partners to consider your loan inquiry. Once again, please accept our deepest apologies. Please let us know if theres anything we can do to assist you or make it right.

    I never received a hard copy of a rejection letter or an email with a rejection letter from First Choice Consolidation and explain what my options are.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
