  They say they that they have a life time warranty on there locks ******* ship. That is the case. The sold garbage junk to people. Refuse to acknowledge there garbage locks sold to people before 2005. I built a house in 2003 bought over 20 Kwickset locks. Had exterior locks keyed the same. A few of my exterior locks will not turn now to unlock. ******** admits to selling garbage locks. They ask a few questions and has never had an issue getting a replacement door handle or lock. I made a mistake buying ********. Do your self a favor and stay away. From a company that acknowledges they sold garbage to people before 2005 and Im sure they wouldnt stand behind those locks either. The guy I talked to kept asking if I was the original owner. **** it you buuilt the licks. Who gives a **** who bought them.

  purchased a lockset from ***** to replace my kwikset lock (dead bolt, lock & handle) on my front door. It looked the same. I followed the instructions installing the dead bolt first. Then attempted installation of the handle but it would not fit. I contacted kwikset customer service & was told it wasn't their product. They claim no responsibility for competitors product. I advised it was sold under the kwikset name. In no place was it stated that this wasn't their product. They had no answer or apology. I called their support number & was advised to drill a new hole in my door & fill the old hole. Bad advice for a front door. The outcome was I purchased a new lockset which is 2/3 useless.

(Deadbolt is a Kwikset) We took the liberty to try to help you identify your model, and these were our findings:-It seems to be a model manufactured by Schlage ********************************************************** Many of our competitors do make models that bear a close resemblance to our products.   kwikset sold this Schlage lock under the kwikset label - no where does it show that it was manufactured by a "competitor" It is sold as kwikset & doesn't fit. Drilling additional holes in my door is unacceptable. Your information is not helpful & kwikset is not sincere.

  I installed a 917 model lock on Nov 5, 2022. It worked fine for four days then would not lock. I contacted CS at Kwikset and followed their directions in an effort to correct the problem. Nothing worked so their rep said they would send me instructions for replacement by email. It is now Nov 14, 2022 and still no information from Kwikset. I have now been on hold for customer service for over three hours as I attempt to find out where the communication they promised might be. This company seem near impossible to reach.
