I had my vehicle towed to this shop on June 22nd, 2023. My engine needed serious work or a whole replacement, and I needed a shop to work with my warranty company to get it taken care of. I was assured by ***** (who I understand to be the owner, or at least the sole manager) that the work "would be done within a week, maybe a week and a half." I called at least once a week to check up and was told every time that the work was getting done and they'd have an answer soon. However, after 2 or 3 weeks, I started driving by the shop and noticed my car parked in the same exact spot every time. My car is non-operational, meaning they would either have to push it in and out of the shop every day and back into the same parking spot, or they just haven't done the work at all. Unfortunately, upon calling the shop and telling them I noticed my car parked in the same place every day, they said that they were "very busy and will get to it soon." A few days later, my car was actually inside the shop and on a lift. This was nearly 2 weeks ago. I have now been paying to rent a car for over a month. The work that needs to be done for the warranty company right now is minimal. As a mechanic myself, I would estimate a maximum of 4-6 hours of work. Even if they were "working slowly," taking this long just for a diagnosis is absurd. I worry about calling and asking them to just give me my car back to take it to another shop, as I truly don't trust them to take proper care, and I worry that the warranty company will deny my claim if they mess something up "on accident" while getting it ready for transport.
