    I purchased my home in 2014 and had ****** from Hartford come and install an alarm system. I pay and have been since $25 per month for their service. Also, this alarm system needs a Lan line so I have been paying **** $45 per month. I don't have a home phone and have no need for one so the Lan line was specifically for the alarm. Forward to the 25th of September of this year there was a break in at my property. A gun safe with 2 guns were taken and there were some damages where the burglar(s) smashed my sliding glass door in the backyard, ripped the alarm siren box off the wall and also my ring doorbell camera. I called ****** to see why the police and myself were not notified and ****** said that I wasn't in their system. I also asked the responding officer if they received a call from the alarm company and he said that they hadn't as well. ****** has issued me a police report number as well and it is 24-267653. ****** then told me that he'd credit me and give me a....WHOLE year of free service and nothing more. A couple of days later he called to come over so he can fix whatever the burglar(s) had damaged but I told him that I was not comfortable and happy with what happened. I am currently going through my insurance for the lost items and damaged glass door repair/replacement. I would like to ask for a refund from Hartford security for services not rendered and would like to know if the BBB is able to help with the process rather than going to court. I do have bank statements and invoices from Hartford and also **** for the Lan line. The total that I am asking for back for the years that I've paid Hartford for services not rendered is $9440 which includes an installation that ****** charged. Please let me know if you are able to help or as least guide me in the right direction to getting my money back. Thank you.
