    A garage ceiling storage rack was improperly installed by business in January 2022. Manufacturer instructions states rack should be installed into studs and business installed half the rails into dry wall only leading to failure of the storage rack 2 years later and causing it to fall down onto our car and damaging it along with damaged ceiling and personal property. Luckily no persons were hurt. We have tried to schedule a meeting with the business owner but he continues to miss appointments with us. We believe business is liable and responsible for the damages caused by their improper and unsafe installation.

    We are writing in response to the complaint filed by **** regarding the installation of a storage rack over two years ago on January 10th, 2022. We acknowledge ****'s concerns and appreciate the opportunity to address them.

    Upon receiving ****'s email on January 24, 2024, regarding the fallen rack, we promptly responded on January 25, 2024, to schedule an appointment for inspection and potential repair. Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to accommodate ****'s request for a Saturday appointment on January 27th.

    After setting a new appointment, **** mentioned receiving quotes for repairing the drywall and damage to the car beneath the storage rack. We understand ****'s desire for resolution and are willing to cooperate. However, we require documentation of the repair costs to proceed further.

    Additionally, it's important to note that our installations come with a one-year warranty, which has expired in this case. If the rack were incorrectly installed without any studs, it would likely have fallen immediately, rather than over two years later.

    We remain committed to resolving this matter amicably and are open to discussing alternative solutions to address ****'s concerns. Please let us know how we can proceed to reach a satisfactory resolution.

    I am rejecting this response to provide the car repair estimate that was requested ( see attachement). Go Handyman received the cost of the storage rack in my email on Jan 30. We received a verbal quote on the cost to fix the dry wall on the ceiling from Hole in the Wall LLC to be $200.

    Total estimated damage: $2464
