    I reached out to ******** for a quote on trimming some trees. Initially, he gave me a quote just by looking at a photo I sent, without visiting the site in person. I asked him to come by to assess the job properly, but he declined. His price wasnt the cheapest, but it was in line with others.Then he sent me a photo of a contract and asked me to sign it, along with a request for a 10% deposit and 50% payment before starting the work. I told him I wasn't comfortable paying anything upfront when I hadn't even met him. In response, he sent me a screenshot from ****** stating that contractors can charge a maximum of 10% as a deposit. He interpreted this as a legal requirement to charge exactly 10%, which was not accurate.He also asked for my email but never followed up with the actual contract. At that point, I decided to go with another licensed company.The other company came by in person, discussed the job thoroughly, and explained the potential challenges. Their quote was slightly higher than Nicholass, but I appreciated their professionalism and decided to go with them. I informed ******** of my *********** response, ******** sent me a racist message implying that people of my race dont like to spend money. I was shocked and disturbed to receive such a commentespecially from someone who may be an immigrant themselves. Ive lived in the **** for 40 years, and this was the first time someone made a racial remark like that to ******* are the exact words from ******** (you can see the images in yelp and ******* "I don't want to be rude but your race is very demanding they are very demanding and they don't like to spend money"I thought others should know how the owner of the business deals with the potential customers with racial comments.
