7/22/24- 11:00 am- eye exam, ordered new glasses in the afternoon. The employee (****?) helping me said I could use my like-new Persol frames. The frames had prescription sunglass lenses that were installed by ****** on 10/25/23. I asked for the lenses to be returned to me and **** said no problem and that they would give them back to me. 8/6/24 at 9:39 am, I received a text message my new glasses were ready for pick up.I picked up my new glasses around 11:30 AM. They were in a white sock with drawstrings. I realized after I got home that my sunglass lenses were not returned to me. 8/7/24- 9:00am, I returned to Visions Optique when they opened and asked **** for my sunglass lenses. I let them know they were not in the white drawstring sock with my glasses. **** said they did not have my lenses and she would call the place that did my glasses to ask them for my lenses. 8/7/24 at 5:33pm- I received a voice message from **** stating she heard back from their lab and they could not locate my lenses. The voice message also said that theyre not responsible and that the laboratory is not responsible? It doesnt make any sense to me. 8/8/24. 9:00 am. I returned to talk to **** about my missing lenses and asked for reimbursement. I showed my ****** receipt where the lenses were installed, and **** made a copy. She said she would talk to her office manager and owner about the situation. 8/9/24- I left a voice message at 7:30 AM asking for an update. I also sent a text message to the office. Never heard anything back. 8/9/24- Noticing online they close at 12 oclock on Friday, I went to the office around 10:30. **** said the legal paperwork I signed states theyre not responsible if they lose anything. She gave me a copy. I read over the legal paperwork **** give to me and all it says is theyre not responsible if the customers frames are damaged or broken. Im a senior citizen on Social Security. I feel Im being taken advantage of.
