    J & J Moving Experts were hired to handle my local move on August 11, 2025. I was asked to initial a line which THEY marked by a X, which they said was to approve the $300.00 per hour agreed fee. I learned later that I was misled into putting my initial on a spot which said that I was declining coverage. I would never have knowingly agreed to that at all. I did not sign the contract. The moving company then broke a ****** ****** black marble statue from *********************** Fine Art Gallery in ******. I sent the Certificate of Value at $13,980 to J $ J Moving Experts to be reimbursed. ***** ***** informed me that they were not responsible for any damage and would not cover the cost of the statue. ***** said they would pay me 60 cents per pound. The statue weighs approximately ****** pounds. When I was told the statue was broken, the owner ***** ***** informed me his employee was at fault because he picked the statue up instead of using a dolly ( which is standard procedure ). This is consumer fraud and negligence on their part, as well as unwilling to reimburse a client for their mistake.
