We paid $78.00 for trash pick up for March, April and May with a personal check dated 2/8/2024 for service a* *** * *** ****** *** ****** ** *****. Our account number with this company was ******. We canceled our service in mid March because we moved out of state. I have contacted Titan Recycle and Trash via voice mail (they NEVER answer their phone), email and by messaging through their online payment service requesting a prorated refund for the service from mid March through the end of May. I received an invoice from Titan on 2/3/24 with a due date of 1/30/24. Hence I paid through my bank the same day. I migjht add that Titan also charged me a late fee of $15. Last week and this week the trash was not picked up. Also some neighbors trash was not picked up. I never received an invoice prior to this invoice and I am sure this happened with my neighbors. I want a refund. I also tried to call their phone number and the mailbox in full, hence you can not contact them. The website does not show the costs for the quarterly service. It does show the areas they serve but will not reveal the costs. Not good.Initial Complaint

In November 2023 I prepaid with check #2777 to Titan for services to be performed December, January and February in the amount of $57.00. Because of failure to pick up my garbage for the third time since starting service with them in September I decided to cancel my service with them on December 1 and requested a refund of the prepaid $57.00. They called and said I would not receive a refund of my startup fee of $25.00. I said okay, just cancel. I have not received my refund. I would like my money refunded as they did not perform any garbage pickup for the months I prepaid. I have emailed and left phone messages - no reply.Customer Answer

I requested that our trash service be terminated on June 1, 2023, which it was. I have contacted this business about a small refund of less than $20.00 which they refuse to send. (Or, in their words, will send "when they find time." ) It has now been five months. I think they are "punishing" me because they are mad about something I said about them while I was on the phone.

In July I got a bill for $399 for the trash. I was obviously very surprised by this, and called the company right away (they also got a new billing system that I had just signed up for). When I called the company, and asked what happened, she said that we hadn't paid for 5 quarters! I asked her why I had never received a bill, and she said I had received bills, I probably just deleted them from my email. If we had been not paying for that long, why did she not stop the service? She only stopped the service AFTER we paid. She was pretty horrible to deal with but by the end of the conversation she agreed that I pay the current amount and set up a payment plan for the balance on the account. A couple of weeks went by, a couple of payments were sent, and then our trash service was stopped. I called, my husband called, they argued that I hadn't been paying. I sent Amanda Maestas (at Titan) my bank statements showing the payments made). Amanda never responded about them and kept on insisting that we pay more money and that I hadn't fulfilled my agreement. Amanda also never gave me an itemized invoice of the charges (she said we owed $100 or so more than the actual charges but couldn't show me the itemized charges for what the $100 was), or the record of emailed bills sent to me (as requested). My husband gave her $200 on 8/17. The total at that time paid ($99 from the payments I made - that showed on the bank statement - and $200 from 8/17) was $299. We missed 5 quarters, at approximately $50 per quarter, which equals to $250, the total amount of our default, plus the current $54 charge equals $304. And we had paid $299. The next day, Titan charged us another $191.50 without our authorization. I just caught this a few days ago on my statement. I emailed Amanda to ask if it was a possible error and would like to get it credited back, and not only did she say no, she insisted we called and authorized it (which we hadn't - our phone records can corroborate!)! We did try to call her that day, because they had promised to pick our trash on Thursday after we paid $200 and didn't, but nobody answered at Titan.Initial Complaint

I have been trying to resolve an issue regarding not being able to pay my bill on line. Repeatedly calling and leaving messages as well as emails beginning 4/26/23, 6/7/23, 6/14/23 with no responses. On 6/11/23 I spoke with Amanda Crawford regarding the issue of not being able to pay my bill on line. She said she would have to report it to her tech department. There have been inconsistencies with the billing statements. One invoice from 4/1/23 lists a bill for $24 plus a $15 late fee. A late fee for an invoice I have not been able to pay because of Titan’s online payment system issues. I’ve been trying to return a container I no longer need. I called on 6/19/23 and left a message regarding the return and also emailed on 6/20/23 requesting the return. A response from my email on 6/20/23 stating that Amanda would have to contact the owner and they would coordinate the pickup of the container. I asked that it be picked up on trash day 6/27/23. The container wasn’t picked up and again I have been unsuccessful at getting any response from Amanda Crawford who is the contact person for Titan. My most recent attempt was today 6/30/23 and no response.Customer Answer

I did not receive a bill this month and tried to call, text and email, NO reply continued to try and finally Amanda texted us and sent us a bill email. But, did not fix the problem, I can't log in to our account, tried a new password several times etc. So I continued to call after the 43rd time she answered. Told me it is not her problem, I asked her who can help me? She said no one. It is just my problem. So I did not receive a bill, I can't log into my account and they expect to to pay on time? We have a problem, when I told her that she hung up on me.

Hello there, you asked if Titan garbage got back to me. NO, not a word, she slammed the phone down last I ever got through. Also my husband went to our monthly meeting with our casa paloma one with the board members and there were people at the meeting with exact same complaints even better one resident got a 200 bill and does not use the garbage company. Others have tried to pay and could not online. just goes on and on. and no one has gotten it fixed.

I've been requesting assistance from Titan, repeatedly, for the last week because I am unable to log into my account to pay my bill. They changed payment systems and I cannot even create a new login as they require, due to an apparent glitch in their system.
All I've gotten after multiple requests is a snarky email response from ****** where she said she changed something & "explained it to me", but there has been no actual resolution. I need this problem remedied a.s.a.p. and am tired of being ignored and spoken to in a condescending manner by ******.Customer Answer

This complaint is in regards how the Trash puck up services is performed.

-Issue: I saw the Titan Trash Collectors dump the whole container to the hopper on to a full layer of feces smearing the front, side and lid of my container with it. I asked the young worker if he noticed what he did and made him aware that my container now is covered with someone else' feces and his responded that it was not his problem that other people dumped waste that was not bagged.
That day (11/04/2022), I went to the company website (https://titanrecycleandtrash.net) and, since there is no complaint section, left a message. The next day I got an email from them asking how they can help. I proceeded to reply via email explaining what had happened.
In both, the email, and the msg, explained what happened and how this can be prevented and asked if the method the trash collector person used was a standard process.
Titan has not responded to my email or the website msg.
Fast forward to today, 12/03/2022, It happened again. This time I did not see the Trash collection happening but when I went to move the trash container from the curb I saw there was feces smeared on the front.
I do understand that trash collection is a dirty process, but no one wants to have feces on their containers, specially on the handles or the lid, and especially someone else' s feces.
I am not seeking any financial gain but I do not this to keep happening and I would like to see some evidence of effort to minimize this issue.
