I had a disappointing experience with Overson. While the service itself was good, the sales process was misleading. I was told they could beat my current pest control company's price of $59 bi-monthly and offered $50 bi monthly. However, after switching, I discovered I was being billed $50 monthly, which actually totals $100 per service much more than what I was paying before. If I know this I wont be that stupid and switch over to pay more expensive service I am satisfied with my current pest control company, why I use overson is because they said they can beat the price and save me money, then I just want to save $9 on per spray and when I got second bill through the credit card, I noticed I got misleading.I ended up paying $250 in total to learn this expensive lesson. When I called to cancel, I was informed I would need to pay an additional $150 to end the contract, which lasts for a year. I also found a small clause in the contract outlining the cancellation fee, but it was not clearly explained to me. I feel misled, especially since I didnt fully understand the contract due to language barriers. I regret making this decision and would strongly advise others to carefully review contracts before signing and not solely rely on the salesperson's word.I am stupid and I need to pay for this ******* next time dont trust and dont sign if you do not fully understand.

We are very sorry to hear about this customer's experience. It is never our intention to mislead any customers. The salesperson said that he had talked with the customer over the phone and also through text message and went over the agreement beforehand and he thought that everything was clear. But there may have been a language barrier that prevented complete clarity. We have since refunded this customer's money and wish them well in the future. Treating customers fairly is extremely important to our company's core values and we will always strive to do such. Thanks, and have a great day!

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. But the company only refund me the $150 cancellation fee but not the $100 service fee + $150 cancellation fee. But thats fine, I took it because its better than lost $250.

I set up pest control services with Overson in June of 2022. In March of ***************************************************************************************************************** pay a cancellation fee. This was news to me; I was not aware of signing a binding contract. If I had verbally been told that this was a yearly contract for which I was obligated, if I canceled early or pay a cancellation fee, I would never have signed up with this company. To my knowledge it was a month-to-month service agreement. They would not honor my wishes to cancel the service. I decided to put a stop payment on the March withdrawl because it is set up on auto payment. They have continued to charge my debit card since then.I contacted them several times but most recently around July 17, when they charged my card again. They did refund this one but at this point I believe they owe me money because I have had no pest control services since Jan/Feb. I have gone around and around with this company, speaking to various people over the phone but to no avail. I have asked them to cancel my account several times.I just got a new bill from them for August pest control service (again no service since Jan/Feb. I am afraid that they will send this to collections if I don't pay it.I have contemplated as to what to do, but I believe there is some unethical business practice going on when they do not make clear that you are signing up for a binding contract. Now with receiving a new bill in August even after I have repeatedly (since March) requested this service to be canceled. I sincerely believe they owe me money, although they give various reasons as to why I owe them money because of some contract with a gotcha clause!I would like to see a refund of at least 2 payments of $44.50 and for them to finally close my account!I don't even live there anymore.Thank you.
