    8/11/25- was asked to pay $500 for tow fee. Owner said he had a shop and could look at fixing my car but only after I paid the tow fee. I sent him the money and then he quit responding. Would not answer my texts or calls the next day. Tried calling from my office phone, he answered. Asked if he had looked at my car and he said it looked like a hose was bad and he could fix it. Tried to check in later that day, no answer or response. Had my wife call from another number and he answered. Gave her a story about changing the hose and running a pressure test and would get back first thing in the morning. Did not hear from him. Called, no answer. Finally got him around lunch and said he didnt know anything yet but would call his guys and find out. Did not call back. Never returns calls. Called again later and he said it was raining so they havent driven it yet and he would call back later. He didnt call. Last time he answered he said he was eating a burger and would call back. Never called. Spoke with police who said I should obtain an attorney and if I needed a deputy to come with me to the shop they would provide one. Texted owner and told him we would have a tow pick it up, to which he immediately responded and said he would have the bill ready , to which I asked for what, since as far as I know nothing has been done. I told him I was not paying anything other than the 500 I had already paid since nothing more had been communicated to me. He then said he would charge daily fees until I came to pick it up. This is extortion and I do plan to consult with an attorney. He is not refusing to give me my car back until more money is paid.
