    I was directed by ********** to bring my string trimmer, which was working perfectly fine to this point, in for a warranty recall service. The authorized servicer near me is Dixie Auto. Upon receiving my unit back from them after the recall was completed, and I was on a job, I discovered the device no longer worked. They took it back and said the carburetor needed to be adjusted, but they needed to order the special tool. After 2-3 weeks, I complained that it was taking so long. About an hour after that I get a call saying they just replaced the carburetor. When I balked at paying for the replacement, when all it needed was adjusting, they removed the new carburetor and gave me back my now nonfunctional device, minus any carburetor at all.I took this issue to **********, who reached out to Dixie Auto, who full on lied about the sequence of events that unfolded. They stated that they tested the device after completing the warranty recall, and discovered the carburetor needed to be replaced. This is an out right lie, as explained above. In fact, they insisted multiple times over the phone that they supposedly successfully tested the device before giving it back to me. What ever Dixie Auto was in the past, it is no longer now. Stay away at all costs.
