I was highly impressed by the honesty and integrity of the Cortese Construction contractor who came to estimate what I anticipated to be an extensive bathroom floor reconstruction and reinforcement project under the toilet. Although they would do what I thought I needed, I was advised I'd be unnecessarily spending money, especially considering my house is over 70 years old and nothing is perfectly level anymore. I was also given some suggestions how to effectively fix the problem without ripping the entire floor out, including the subfloor and supporting 3/4" tongue & groove. How refreshing to see there are still honorable companies who don't try to sell the "big job" when it's a simple handyman fix. If I ever need a major construction job in this old house of mine, they would be first choice. Thank you for your integrity.

I’m very pleased with the project we did with Cortese Construction Services. We worked with Tyler S**** to design a project that would work within the existing space and still meet our goal & be respectful of our budget. Tyler is friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with from the beginning of the project to the final walk through. I can’t say enough about the construction team of Jeff and Andrea who were assigned to our project. They were respectful, knowledgeable, efficient, and nice to have around. There was a considerable amount of work to be done before they could start to install our ****** ****** sunroom with deck extension! (Including the removal of the old deck and a window, repairing water damage discovered to the back of the house, matching and patching the siding on the house and the drywall inside. It was all beautifully done. Other staff (particularly Alyssa and Marisa) were so pleasant and efficient. They kept us informed every step of the way both during the construction phase and (Alyssa) while we waited for the job to begin (8 months due to shipping delays beyond their control). We love the new sunroom and can’t wait for spring to truly put it to use. We would not hesitate to hire Cortese Construction Services again and would recommend them to family and friends.

After interviewing three general contractors we selected Cortese to remodel our basement into a game room, TV / Entertainment area and ½ bath. We are extremely pleased with the process and results. We first met with Tyler S. to discuss preliminary ideas, take measurements, review concept drawings and finalize the project. Timelines were discussed and agreed on. Cortese held a pre-construction meeting where we met the project team including Brian, Vinney, Dillon and site supervisor / lead carpenter Dan. During this meeting, the team, while reviewing the plans suggested ideas and minor changes that would enhance our project. Project started on time and completed on schedule. Dillon was excellent on keeping us up to date on the process and keeping to the schedule, which was particularly important to us. His communication skills were impressive. We can not say enough good things about Dan and towards the end of the project his assistant Mike. They were meticulous in their work, fantastic craftsmanship and so detailed oriented. The entire team was so considerate while in our home, no swearing, extremely polite, and trustworthy. At the end of every day, they ensured to clean up the entire project area. The new addition turned out so much better than we envisioned. We are incredibly pleased we chose Cortese and would hire them again for future projects. We strongly recommend Cortese to our family, friends and anyone looking for a General Contractor.

Cortese Construction was hired to update a half bathroom unit by adding a shower. My decision to use the company was based on the very positive and professional experience I had when about fifteen plus years ago when they converted a sun screen room to a family room. The current project was handled similarly. Domenic consulted with me in my home and recommended design and construction of project based on my expressed needs. He then prepared the work design as he did that many years ago. Everyone was courteous, punctual and professional in handling the project from start to finish. The project managers Vinny and Dillion took over to manage the project and Jacob “Jake” was the assigned project foreman who did most of the actual work in the home. Dillion over saw the project making sure all needed supplies were made available and regularly checked project progress. I was regularly kept abreast of each step of the project as it progressed in the home. I was more than satisfied and impressed with the finished product and all who participated in making it happen. I would definitely use them again or recommend them to anyone.
