            On July 21st, 2023, I went to Nemer VW for an oil change and wanted a second opinion on a feature I was unaware of called hill assist. I paid 103.62 for an oil change. Fast forward to November my brakes started to grind at 25,000 miles and I knew there was an extended warranty on the brakes so I began looking into VW warranties that were available to me. It turns out, I was charged for an oil change at 16,040 miles when this should have been covered under the 20,000 mile/2 year worry free guarantee policy that comes with new VW’s. Had I not looked into the warranty for the brakes, I would not have realized I shouldn’t have paid for an oil change back on July 21st. A photo that I’ve attached to this case is from Nemer’s website describing the 20,000 mile maintenance warranty the shows a car mechanic performing an oil change. I also want to add that I’ve brought this to the attention of VW corporate and they couldn’t care less about my problems with Nemer and how they refuse to refund me.

            I was mislead by the financing department at Nemer VW. I wanted to purchase an extended warranty through **, and the financing person told me they could not sell a ** extended warranty because it is a conflict of interest. He instead sold me a **** warranty and said it could be used at any dealer or shop. After purchasing, I checked my local ** dealer and was told they would not honor the **** warranty and that I should have been sold ** Drive easy extended warranty at Nemer VW. Once I called Nemer to cancel the **** warranty, I was then offered the ** warranty. They lied to my face right from the start.

            On behalf of Nemer VW I want to sincerely apologize for the negative experience that customer had with our finance department. We take great pride in providing best possible experience and didn't provide the level of service that this customer deserves. We have taken extended measures to retrain our finance department so this miscommunication will not happen again. We have been in contact with the customer to welcome to purchase a ********** service contract at cost from us.

            In their response, Nemer VW says they have been in contact with me and offered me a ** warranty at COST. They have NOT contacted me and made me any such offer. I have not been offered a ** warranty at cost, they have never told me the price!
