Hallmark refinished flat roof and replaced several skylights in 2022. One fireplace and skylight in particular required repeated repairs. I've attached evidence of their lack of repair from last month. I made the mistake of asking them to replace yet another skylight in exchange for them promising to repair the interior damage depicted, which I had to pay others twice before to repair. They replaced the skylight. When later scheduling the promised interior repairs, they would not accommodate my work-from-home schedule and numerous emails followed in which I asked the owner to contact me. They refused. I asked to speak with their lawyer once things escalated. I had logically awaited completion of the interior repairs prior to paying for the new skylight. They then refused to come out to make the promised repairs until AFTER I paid for the new skylight. I sent them a check for partial payment deducting the anticipated cost of repairs. They threatened me with a "pre-lien." I informed them the check had been sent a week prior. They claimed they did not receive the check, which was doubtful. The next day I was served with a pre-lien. I stopped payment on my check and again asked they have their lawyer contact me. Instead, the owner wrote me refusing to lift the pre-lien and refusing to negotiate with me and refusing to have their lawyer speak with me. Having had to pull my home from MLS listing because of the eyesores in my home, I yet again had to pay for the interior repairs, this time spending $210.00. I need to have another firm come in and replace the roof and skylights properly, so I want a full refund of the $2,570. Additional documentation available upon request.
