On May 3, 2018 I signed a contract to purchase a headstone for my late husband's grave site and the empty plot next to his. It was orginally going to have mine and my husband's names. I went to MVM and changed the design to leave my name, birth date, heart photo, and marriage date off. I didn't want to see my name on a headstone while I'm alive. The concrete pad was poured covering the 2 plots. Payments were made by myself, friends, and family. Yesterday, the headstone was finally placed at the cemetery and much to my surprise, MVM allowed my mother in law to completely change the design making the entire headstone for my late husband and added a ridiculous looking photo of him on the stone. Now the empty plot cannot be used. My kids hate the photo so much that they refuse to visit the grave site. I addressed MVM in person this morning and John told me that my mother in law *** was the only one making payments (untrue) and since the contract was dated 2018, "we forget things". I never gave permission for changes. I asked MVM to remove the stone and re-do it how I ordered it at their expense or I'll get an attorney. John told me to get an attorney. I am the purchaser, I signed the contract, I paid approximately $1,500 on the headstone, I paid for 2 grave site plots ($1,600) and the empty one cannot be used
