I leased a 2023 Jeep Compass on May 8th. From the second day I purchased the vehicle I have had problem. Three times now when you apply the brake rapidly, it will suddenly stop instantly without you doing it, or it has skipped across the road to a stop. I bought it with seven miles on it. The dealership tells me they can’t find a problem. They have had it three weeks total now, out of the six week I have had it. I asked them to just give me another vehicle. They say they can’t. Because they can’t duplicate the problem when they drive it. But I have to take it there every time because the service transmission light, the check engine light and the anti lock brake light come on. They wont go off until they put it on a diagnostic machine. Which still can’t detect the problem. Customer care says it doesn’t apply to the lemon law. Because they don’t know what the problem is. So I am driving a rental and paying for a new car that doesn’t run have the time. And is sitting at the dealership . I hope reaching out will bring some outcome to this problem. All I want is for them to switch it with another car.
