We purchased a double recliner and two single recliners with a motorized headrest and footrest manufactured by the ****** Company. We purchased an additional 5 year warranty. All of this was purchased on Feb. 6th of 2020. We contacted them in May and they sent an employee out to our home to make repairs on one of the broken recliners. He took one of the bolts that broke and said he would order a new bolt. Six months went by and when we did not hear back from them I called. They apologized and said they were having employee problems and that the issue would be corrected. I waited about a week and called back and they said you do not have a warranty with us. They said it expired one year from when you purchased the furniture. We had words over the phone and I said I would report them to the BBB. The response I received then was, "You do what you have to do." So my wife insisted that we look for the original receipt and look into the warranty we purchased separately from a company called Montage Furniture Services. I responded to an email I received from *****'s Furniture from the owner ***** ****. In his email he still stated, "We do not have a warranty and we should pay for the parts and it can be repaired for a fee." After that email from the owner, I contacted Montage Furniture Services directly and filed a claim. I was immediately rejected because even though our service contract says we are covered for mechanical breakdowns, this company said we were not covered. I could not understand why so I investigated. I looked up their service record on the BBB's website and they had 454 complaints withing the last 3 years and 245 complains within the last 12 months. I feel I was mislead buy *****'s Furniture. A good warranty with a reputable company was very important and I would not have purchased the furniture without one. I want to be reimbursed for the cost of the recliners. We paid $1824.95.
