    I took my Subaru to get checked out. They gave me a laundry list of "issues", some of which I could have fixed myself, but I wanted to feel like I was being "taken care of" and everything was done professionally. No sooner than I made it 30 miles all the lights came back on. I called, they apologized, and asked that I bring it back. This time they said the brake booster was bad. I got a quote. I still don't know if what they "fixed" was actually wrong, or if they were making stuff up. I set up an appointment and brought it in, again. I waited for a few hours before I was offered a loaner for the day because they were backed up. Later that day they called and said to come in and go over my options. That didn't sound good since they were supposed to just fix the brake booster. I returned the next day and was provided a litany of "issues" that were more than 4X my original quoted service. That's not what I was told last time I was in. At this point, what were they trying to fix that wasn't even wrong?!?!?! Some of the things weren't even bad, but they added in to a "quote" to get my check engine lights to quit flashing. Again, that's NOT what I asked them to do. All I wanted them to do is the required work to turn the check engine light off. The lady went over some things, and removed the most costly "issue". As I looked it over again, she left everything else on that didn't pertain to the check engine light. I again shook my head in disbelief. One of the issues was an oil leak they wanted to fix with the "dirty oil" as a sign of the issue. I had JUST changed the oil in the Outback THE *** BEFORE and had only driven it to the Subaru dealership. (I checked later, and it was still very clear.) She proceeded to tell me it would be $125 for the diagnostics they ran. Wait. WHAT?! I didn't ASK you to do a diagnostics test. I had to threaten the police before they allowed me to leave. They are not a trustworthy service department.
