    Purchased 2015 Escalade at the listed price first week of January 2023. Extended additional cost warranty purchased on 1/21/23. At time of signing for the additional warranty- we established that the vehicle had unrepaired issues that were previously brought up that need repaired. Autonation General Manager was spoken with and agreed that the damaged seatbelt/ faulty alarm system/ disc reading issues with dvd player would all be corrected prior to us even paying for an additional warranty. Vehicle brought into service **** at Autonation on 1/31 approximately for dvd player replacement. Problem needing resolution:Called ***** in ************ the next morning that the vehicle has damages that were not their prior to us bringing in the vehicle for the *** player to be replaced. Was told that they would fix and ***** would call back. He never called back to have us bring vehicle back in for the damages to be corrected.Second, we were originally told that Autonation is covering the cost of the labor/parts to fix the *** player. I should not have a claim under my warranty for pre-exisiting issues with the vehicle. That check will need paid back to my warranty company and corrected. Third, the vehicle *** player still has the same issue- issue needs repaired properly. At this point, I am needing assistance from someone that oversees the operations at this location to get my issues resolved in a professional timely manner.

    My husband brought in our 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT on 1/3/24 after experiencing a problem w/ the transmission causing the vehicle to go into "limp mode", a default security feature when an issue is detected. They ran a diagnosis & took a sample of the transmission fluid. The service tech John said it contained "debris" & was very adamant that he "strongly recommend" we replace the transmission. Using whatever technicalities based on his interpretation of the diagnostic codes, he said the trans would either need to be taken apart to examine or replaced entirely. He also said that he had seen this issue in other vehicles of the same make/model, causing us to question the integrity of the vehicle. In the end we just questioned John's integrity. He did not recommend any alternatives such as first flushing the trans, and was persistent in telling both my husband and myself when I spoke to him to hear his explanation on why paying $8,000+ was our only option, that he actually "advised against" doing a flush first before we forked up that kind of money. Regardless we told him we're going to take our chances and just flush it. John was not confident it would work insisting the issue would occur again. John also enticed replacing the trans by offering a 20% discount provided by the computer system they used to quote prices. In the end, we only did the flush, and now 2 weeks later the vehicle is running better than before, and one would think that had a trans been so shot that it needed to be replaced with no advisable alternative, that whatever the initial "diagnosis" was would have occurred again soon after. We feel that we were potentially coerced into paying an exorbitant amount of money to replace a part that did not need replacing & have now lost any confidence & reassurance in taking our vehicles to a dealership with the wariness that we 1) cannot trust their assessments & 2) will be taken advantage of making them no better than the scummiest mechanic out there.
