I was approached while I was outside in my yard one of their so-called "sales representatives", **** ********, driving a white Tesla. I'm assuming he pulled over because he saw me outside, by myself, and an easy target (didn't have to knock on my door that has a clear "no soliciting sign"). He said he was in the neighborhood because of a recent hail storm we had, said he had talked to a few of my neighbors about roof damage they sustained and wanted to see if we had any damage from the storm. I told him we didn't, that our roof was just fine and thanked him as I was busy working on something. He persisted and asked me, "what type of roofing materials, 30 yr?" I said no, "50 yr. and we have a warranty, we're good, thank you". He then told me even with that kind of material I could have sustained damage, and the roof is now probably only good for 5 yrs. I told him thanks, but we were good again. He then told me he would leave me his card and placed it on my porch bench. As he left he had a smirk on his face and said "Have a nice day". I don't appreciate these kind of tactics and I think this is a very poor business practice. If the customer needs a new roof, they will search out and find a roofing company that works for them. Any company that hires door-to-door soliciting is struggling and trying any tactics to gain customers, definitely don't recommend. Zero stars if I could leave it, but had to pick at least one.
