      I hired this company to move me from central Oregon to the Portland area. I also opted to store my belongings at the Portland location for over 12 months. When it came time to move my belongings to my new home, they delivered my belongings and after going through them I found some missing and broken items. I contacted the business and inquired about their policy regarding the missing and broken items, and they asked me to give them a list. I made the list and sent it to them but received no response. I contacted them again and after explaining what happened, they asked me to provide them with value for the items. I sent in the values and waited. 4 months go by and I contacted them to inquire about the claim and I was told she was working on it and that she would contact me when finished. No one has ever called me back, even after promising they would. Today I called AGAIN and she says she feels my list is FRAUDULENT and will not be processing my claim. Please help!

      DO *** USE THIS COMPANY!!!! ***** ******* EVER! ... To begin with, we were quoted for 3500 lbs for a 2 bed, 2 bath, 1 bedroom/1 bath and a small storage unit. ***** was the lowest price we had been quoted - lesson learned you get what you THINK you're paying for. I understand that we had more, however I was told we had an even number of 10,000 lbs (I was told the movers would have a weight slip for me to confirm when they reached our destination. ****** said they weren't given one so I just went off of trust that this company wouldn't royally **** me - my mistake!) This increased our quote by over 4K making well over other quotes we had received from other companies. We were told this the week leading into our planned move. We were told we were getting a discount however I was given 2 different quotes of what would have been the undiscounted price. With no other options as they had our stuff in storage we reluctantly proceeded. We were also told by our movers in ********* "anything we break we have to pay for". Well if you still decide to use this company, dont even worry about writing fragile on any boxes. Many of my boxes labeled fragile came dented, smushed, and with rips in them. I looked past the broken items in those boxes knowing that things happen. One of our TVs that was in a expensive TV box padded with packing materials provided in a $40 packing box, came broken. We were told that since the movers did not pack it themselves North park transfer is not responsible for any damaged items that they didn't pack. So basically if they throw a box across the truck and stuff breaks but it wasn't packed by them, they aren't liable??? Not to mention it took over a response stating they weren't responsible. It's said and done but I feel like an idiot for not reading the previous reviews. PLEASE don't be like me... Don't hire this company!!

      Dear BBB This customer refused an in home estimate and didn't want to do one via facetime. The amount of items she explained to the sales person was much lower than what was actually going. From what was explained to us was there should have only been 3,600 lbs of household goods. It came out to a weight of 10,000 lbs of household goods. This weight difference is what caused the estimate to increase. Many items were added that we were not made aware of. The customer signed our bill of lading which explains that the company is not responsible for items that we do not pack. These are called PBO boxes which means that it was packed by the owner. This also means that the contents and condition are unknown, which it way we are not responsible.

      We never refused an in home estimate, would have actually preferred it. We were never offered one or even a virtual home estimate. That would have helped immensely, regardless this whole situation was very bait and switch and no thorough explanation of things when prices increased/ there were discrepancies.
