I discourage anyone from using ***************** for plumbing. Their plumber caused a flood during a shower valve replacement and Bill Howe plumbing would not take responsibility for any of the water damage that occurred. Instead, their plumbing supervisor blamed everyone from the building maintenance who turned the water back on (which was requested by the plumber!) to the people who originally put the pipes in the building -seriously? Since they determine internally whether they are responsible for any damage during a job, they appear financially incentivized to decide they are not at fault. As a single woman and first-time homeowner, I wanted to make sure that any plumbing I had done was with a trustworthy company with licensed plumbers and -most importantly- insurance, in case of any issues. Instead, I was left with water damage the day before I moved into my new condo, ruining what was supposed to be an exciting time of my life. Now, I am stuck with a bedroom that will need to be torn apart and restored and ***************** is refusing to take any responsibility for it. Unfortunately, I found out Bill Howe plumbing is not what they advertise -customer satisfaction is definitely not their priority.Bill Howe Plumbing Inc Response

Its important to clarify that while our technician was working on the shower valve installation, we discovered a pre-existing issuea s**** that had been driven into a pipe by a previous installation (not by our team), which caused the leak once the water was turned back on. Unfortunately, this issue was not visible during our initial inspection, as it was located within an untouched part of the wall.Our technician responded to the situation, stemming the leak as much as possible and then repairing the affected section of the pipe. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you, but we must reiterate that this damage was not caused by our work and was the result of a pre-existing condition from a prior installation.We strive to be transparent and fair in our work, and we do have photo documentation of the issue to support our findings. We hope you can understand that while we always take full responsibility for our work, in this case, the issue was beyond our control.Please know that we are always here to assist you, and we would be happy to discuss this further if you have any additional questions or concerns. Since there was no leak or water damage (it was inspected 1 month before) until your plumber worked on my shower, I have to disagree, and say it was caused by the work your plumber performed within inches of the leak and therefore your company's responsibility. Until your company takes responsibility, I will not recommend you to anyone and will not work with your company in the future.Review from Shannon & Scott P

We asked ***************** to come out to check the gas line on our fireplace. Something was not working. They sent out their "master plumber," ******. He showed me the total erosion of our gas pipe line. This was a dangerous situation needless to say. ****** not only replaced every part but he also did it without the slightest *** of dirt or soot on the carpet! We loved his neatness in all he did. While he was here he checked our water pressure regulator and found it had crept up to 120. Thank goodness he checked! It's supposed to be at 50. Our whole house could have flooded! He wasn't asked by us to check it but he said Bill Howe Plumbing requires their plumbers to always check it because it's one of the easiest preventable disasters for the home and many insurance companies won't insure you unless you have one updated. I learned that everything has an expiration date! We signed up for their family plan where they come out annually and check our whole house plumbing, AC, furnace, that everything is up to date and working. It's a great preventive plan but it's also about the same *** we would have paid for them coming out only to check one of them! It's a deal! The amount of care that ****** put into every detail was rewarding and gave us such peace of mind. He's a master teacher of plumbing for a trade school as well. I initially called Bill Howe Plumbing for a faucet repair in the bathroom at the beginning of August. After the initial visit, we were told they could not repair the faucet and needed to order a part, which is understandable. We had to wait until the part was received to make another appointment. While ordering the part, the technician called to confirm the type/finish of part, although he'd already been to our house. He said he thought it was one type of part, so I agreed. We made the appointment and he came out again, only to have it not fixed again because he ordered the wrong part - even after seeing what was needed before. Mind you, it's over a month later and we still do not have a working faucet. To top it off the technician was rude.Bill Howe Plumbing Inc Response

***************** was called for emergency service last evening the **************** came spent 1 hour and could stop the water from the shower so our water is still shut off and he appeared incompetent. He said someone will come in the morning and bring the part for **** and replace the part. No one came and then I get a call from billing to pay them for the time and half for last evening without fixing the problem. I asked they should come and fix it and I will pay for the last evening as well. Now they say the plumber will come on Monday am and we will be without water until then. They dont have a plumber who can just stop the water coming from the shower. This is extremely poor service.Bill Howe Plumbing Inc Response

On 07/31/23 a technician from ***************** came to our house to check on a refrigerant leak from our mini split system. Since the system was all out of refrigerant and fixing it was so costly, the technician suggested we could add some to see how long it would last and continue doing that until we were ready to fix it, instead of fixing it right away. He added 3lbs and charged us $427. Two weeks later, the first time we attempted to use the A/C it was not cooling; it had already lost all of the refrigerant without any usage whatsoever. The technician gave us a bad recommendation by suggesting we put refrigerant and spend so much money when it was going to leak out so quickly. So the money we spent was useless. He did not give us the correct information. When I called them to complain they offered to deduct that amount from fixing the leak. I am not interested in ever working with this company again since I don't consider they are credible or efficient. I requested they reimburse me the amount paid for the refrigerant and the they said they would check with the head manager. I am still waiting for the call back a week later. The whole situation is very disconcerting, I feel this is not a very trustworthy or professional company and I do not recommend it at all.Bill Howe Plumbing Inc Response

Were very sorry to hear about your experience. It must be frustrating not to have functional AC. It looks like on our initial call we recommended a leak search and noted that after adding 3lbs of refrigerant the system was still hunting. The technician noted that more refrigerant was recommended but the owner wanted to see how long 3lbs would last. We value you as a customer and are sorry for any miscommunication. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this company for plumbing services! On 1/5/23, a plumber from Bill Howe Plumbing, **** came to check the slow drain in my bathtub. This gentleman was FILTHY from head to toe. And, even though he put on shoe coverings, he left shoe prints on the floor. The most disgusting of all is that he put on blue rubber gloves that were black with filth, which he transferred to my white shower curtain and the bath mat. He stated that the stains would come out with a little water. This was not the case, as I had to launder both.Review from May A

On 7/28/2022 Bill Howe Plumbing (BHP) of *********************************************, installed an OLD ********************* oxidized Water Pressure Regulator for $1400. Another plumber said he would have charged $600 to install a NEW water pressure regulator. Also on 7/28/2022 BHP fraudulently installed an 8-year warranty Gas Water Heater Tank instead of the agreed 12-year warranty gas water tank. Submitted by customer May **** ************************************************************.
