I am recently caring for my 95 year old mother. She contracted Crystal Clear Pools to clean her pool/filter once a week. When she was hospitalized I took the chore of taking care of her home. Her pool had become and stayed green for approximately 3 weeks; at which time my husband contacted the owner to address this. Darryl (the owner charged her $350 for chemicals at that point. Then came her fall and hospitalization and I took on more care for her home and pool. I suspected the leaf filter was not being properly cleaned and checked if the day before service. The next day Darryl came, and I went out and checked – it had not been cleaned. The filter was very loud and I could tell it was struggling. I pulled leaves and debris from leaf filter that was so compacted I needed a screwdriver to loosen it. I have enclosed a picture of the leaves that were supposed to have been cleaned that morning! The flow of water instantly helped but the filter became even noisier. I hired a pool man because I felt I could not trust Crystal Clear Pools/ Darryl. I have included a picture of the filter which was supposed to have been kept clean and as you can see it is almost black. My mom had shared that the “pool guy” never stays very long. I hope that you can have some of her money she has spent $125 a month for many years, $350 for chemicals, yet no service green was never brushed from steps. I think he was deceitful and took advantage of an elderly woman.
