    Terri K***** owns and runs Kenyon & Associates in the greater Reno area. - Terri keeps a set of financial books that differ from the corporate books - Terri's staff withheld thousands of dollars from me for 6+ weeks until Terri approved my refund even though the corporate books showed I was due a refund Jeannie R******* reports to Terri K*****. Jeannie has denied or delayed approximately $115,000 of my money (based on my overpayments and insurance claims due to my unit) to be paid to me from Kenyon over the past 11 months. The best outcome of my BBB filing is for Kenyon to honor homeowners as their customers. I hope this complaint offers Reno HOA boards some insight to Kenyon. I would also appreciate interest payments based on Kenyon's slow refunds as an apology for their mistakes. Two month delay on $104K, 6 week delay on 3K, 8 month delay on $6k: all at 5% APR (which is less than my money market account has paid for the past year) equals roughly $1,084. I know Kenyon would NEVER honor a customer; most Common-Interest Community managers shield themselves from all fraud, leaving complaints to the neighbors and homeowners. Sigh...so now you know.

    I had the misfortune of dealing with Kenyon as an owner at Park tower for a decade before my building finally switched to a more professional HOA manager.My decade of frustration with Kenyon culminated with the most egregious instance of willful negligence: In August my tenant found standing water in the bedroom over the course of multiple days and advised me that the leak was not coming from anywhere in our unit. We called Kenyon to investigate the source and respond. My tenant moved out due to the issue. Days later I got an email from ***** Kenyon telling me that the leak was coming from my unit or maybe a unit above me and that I needed to file a claim with my insurance as I was responsible for the water damage to the units below.Over the course of the next 6 weeks, I made countless attempts via email, voicemail, messages left with the front desk, to get in touch with ***** Kenyon to get some basic questions answered. Nobody at Kenyon was ever able to answer the ***** question, "was the source of the leak located and has it been fixed?". Meanwhile, my unit sat vacant for 2 months while I tried to determine if some repair was needed behind the walls of my unit for this leak that Kenyon supposedly found in my unit and they claimed I was responsible for.NEVER ONCE did ***** Kenyon return my phone call despite at least a dozen requests. Neither myself nor my insurance company was ever able to get in touch with her or anyone else at Kenyon that could answer basic questions on the issue.I finally got an email back from ***** advising that they were no longer managing our building as of Oct 1 and that I would need to contact the new management co (Still willfully never answering my questions on the leak).Although I was elated that my HOA finally switched, and the new company promptly and professionally responded to my inquiry (What a concept!) they also had no info from Kenyon on the issue.
