Broken 2014 Mini Cooper Hood Trim While adding wiper -fluid to my 2014 Mini Cooper, the only time I open the hood, I noticed the trim on the hood was broken. There is no sign on the outside of the trim that would indicate it would have been hit by something, so the damaged was not done by an outside source. Once the hood is released from the inside, it is not easy to find the outside release. The Mini is garage kept and driven very little, with the exception of driving to my sister’s, in a rural area of Port Allegheny. The only two places that work under the hood of my Mini, **** ** ********** and Dave Smith Auto. I would imagine that one of the first things a Mini tech learns is how to open the hood, so my conclusion is that one of Dave Smith’s techs broke the trim while trying to open it to work on the car. I stopped up to Dave’s Auto the other day and the manager told me I had to call Dave as he was not in. I called the next day and was told he was not in, so I left a message for him to call me. When he did not call I emailed him and left a message on his website for him to call me, nothing. By the fact that Dave has not called, he is avoiding me. If he did not think there was a possibility that the problem could have happened he would have contacted me. I have been having Dave Smith Auto work on my car for years and hate to have to find a new repair place, but by not dealing with the problem, I can no longer trust them. I have never had to make a complaint about a business I deal with before to the BBB before, but hope this will help my situation.
