Three Rivers Dental staff are amazing. They were very thorough, and explained every step of my treatment. My teeth look great and I am grateful to them! Highly recommend!Review from Melissa B

Everything I experienced with the Greensburg location was pleasant, they kept me informed of every little step, an estimate of what my insurance may or may not cover....the staff and Dr's were very knowledgeable and compassionate to my needs. My story started...I went in for a consult for my procedures needed, the office manager let me know that my "said" insurance company would require a pre authorization for procedures...ok fine. "SAID" INSURANCE TOOK ABOUT 30 DAYS with an approval of what they "might pay" according to my copy. Fast foward...I needed a crown, so I paid what I thought was my co insurance , come to find out my insurance did not pay their "estimate " , explanation from "said" insurance company claim was denied for payment due to a white crown being used instead of a metal one on one of my back teeth" . At this point, I'm like ok why do I owe their amount so I called the office and they explained everything as much to their knowledge and said I would need to call the insurance. So I did, pretty frustrated at this point with insurance company. "Said" insurance company told me that I should have known what plan covers and what it didn't covers and I shouldn't have blamed the office..Ugh...so as part of my contract with the office it was entirely my financial responsibility to pay that half that "SAID" insurance company estimated it to be. I definitely learned my lesson and will pay better attention to all that fine print. This was a learning curve for me and I thank Three Rivers Dental Group in Greensburg walking me through this whole nightmare!! ??Review from Jessica K

I have had the absolute WORST experience with this practice and hope I can save a few people a lot of misery and money with this review. Mine is a long story, but in short, they told me that my appointment was going run late because of their being over-scheduled which would've made me late for work. When I called back to try to reschedule the procedure because of their scheduling issue, the office manager insisted that they had to charge me $579 for rescheduling. This practice never did ANY work on me and is now refusing to clear financing ($1400) for dental services that they did not perform. I have filed complaints with the financing firm and I plan on bringing in a lawyer to resolve the issue if their office continues to refuse to find resolution. After the way I was treated I have to say that this practice is not a safe place for patients and customers. They are out to steal your money, make no mistake that getting money is their only goal.Review from Rona C

It's sad that people post ridiculous stuff on here. Anyone in the ********** area knows that Three Rivers is the most professional and reputable practice around here. I have been a long time patient for over 15 years and would never go elsewhere. They have different doctors that are all great, they also offer sedation and headphones to watch tv and relax during the procedure. My 6 month check *** are always pleasant. Only good things to say here.Review from Cathy C

PLEASE, do your vetting in regard to Three Rivers Dental Group! VERY bad move for me, so learn from my mistake!!! PM if you want more details. VERY costly mistake physically and financially! They screwed up my jaw and I didn't know until after I saw a reputable dentist and Endodontist that I never needed a root canal and that the crown was ill-fitted with cement leaking into my jaw bone! I made the mistake of telling Three Rivers Dental Group what I learned from these other two professionals, and they (TRDG) handwrote notes stating that they had asked me to come in to correct their mistakes...THEY NEVER DID after a year and a half!!!!! The dentist they claim who did my root canal is the daughter of the owner who was convicted of killing his wife (her mother) on a safari in Africa. This woman NEVER touched me and I have never met her in my life! This could be a movie drama on its own that I want NO part of! There will be major repercussions coming to this practice so that they cannot victimize anybody!!!! This is criminal!!Review from KAREN D.

After being a patient at Three Rivers Dental for about 3 years I was more than shocked at the very unethical treatment i recently received there. Going in for just a cleaning first I get a text message on my way there that they dont accept my new insurance and that i would have to pay 65 dollars that day....no big deal. Went to my appointment and was told i need a root canal under a bridge and root treatment on another tooth and it would be 8000 dollars that i could submit to my insurance after the work is done. I signed the loan paper and scheduled an appointment for the work. When I got home i opened the folder that was handed to me as i was leaving and saw the full term agreement for the loan would be 11,300 after interest!! I called three rivers and asked them to cancel the appointment until i could figure out another way to pay for the work. In the meantime I called Aetna medicare to find out that they most certainly do participate with this dentist office. I called 3 Rivers back and spoke to the office manager, who said that i couldnt cancel the initial loan that the money already came to them and that i would now have to pay 5% of that loan, 400 dollars, if i were to cancel, and yes they do participate with Aetna but that I could settle up with them after the work was done!!!!!!! What!!! How unethical and how is this even legal??? I found a new dentist and actually had the work that was necessary done for $900, which was not all the work 3 rivers was going to do, unnecessarily!! They are only out to make as much money off a patient as possible without any kind of consideration for their patients....sad.

As per Ms ********* financial agreement she is obligated the 5% processing fee. As for her treatment we have had other doctors review and the treatment was necessary, the patient did not however have to commit to the treatment plan in its entirety if she chose not to. As for the insurance we are in network with Aetna ins, but not the *** plan that this patient has. PPOReview from John B

THREE RIVERS DENTAL GROUP STOLE MY MONEY!! I had my wife in to their Jennerstown PA office for extensive dental work. They filed the dental insurance and required I pay the balance upfront. My wife had all her teeth removed except for the four canines which were to anchor the new dentures in place. Temporary dentures were made and she was wearing them until her mouth healed and swelling went down. The dentist died and we received a letter from Three Rivers Dental Group informing us that we would have to get the remainder of her dental work done at another dentist not affiliated with Three Rivers at our own expense! We had already paid in full. We never heard another word from Three Rivers Dental. We filed a complaint with PA States Attorney Office and the BBB.

I really wanted to like this place, and I generally don't like leaving negative reviews, so I'm leaving this one not for the sake of leaving a bad review or to be nasty, but maybe it can serve as a warning to other folks.I recently went into their **************** because of a small cavity that I found on one of my lower wisdom teeth. After a routine clean and an x-ray/exam, I was told that the cavity on my lower wisdom tooth was too close to the gum line to fill, and that the tooth needed to be removed. I was also told that my other lower wisdom tooth, as well as the two top wisdom teeth should also be removed. This was after the dentist told me that all my other teeth looked "perfect". Her words exactly. I thought, okay, makes sense to pull the one with the cavity, but why the other three? None of my wisdom teeth have ever bothered me, not even slightly, and there is no crowding in my mouth at all. I decided to just trust them and go with it since it all happened so fast. They took my money (a little over a thousand dollars) right then and there after I scheduled with them to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed at a later date, which seemed odd to me, and I understand that patients must sign a form consenting to payments before treatment, but again, I trusted them. After I went home and thought about it more, it just didn't make sense to me that I should have all four wisdom teeth removed when only one of them had a small cavity, and especially after I was told that my other teeth looked fine. I called back the next day asking why they recommended that I have all four wisdom teeth removed. The office manager told me that it was because my top wisdom teeth "were becoming impacted" and that they'd end up bothering me in the future so I might as well have them all removed. But all of my wisdom teeth are fully erupted and grew in perfectly straight, and they fit just fine in my mouth. How can a tooth "become impacted" if it's already fully erupted? I asked that we cancel my appointment to have them pulled because I wanted to get a second opinion elsewhere. She said to me "just so you know, two other doctors looked at your x-rays here". I am wondering how two of their doctors agreed that fully erupted, healthy, wisdom teeth could be described as impacted. When I cancelled my appointment to have all of my wisdom teeth removed, I was told that it could take up to 30 days for the refund to come in. Its been 26 days, no refund yet, so hopefully that comes through soon, although I understand with the holiday coming up it may take longer. Ill definitely be keeping an eye out for that. After getting a second opinion from my old dentist who I'd been seeing since I was a child, he chuckled when he looked at my x-ray after I told him what Three Rivers Dental said about my teeth. He basically told me there was absolutely no reason to pull my healthy wisdom teeth, and he was actually able to fill the cavity in the one wisdom tooth in less than 15 minutes. The same wisdom tooth that Three Rivers Dental told me needed to be pulled and could not be filled.
