Insofar as skeletal and body mechanics go: Dr. Ray Wisniewski, a graduate of Palmer, the #1 CC, is ichiban (nummer eins, hui cao o, numero uno, aka number 1 in any language you choose!). One anecdote will suffice. Our beloved Pekingese *** fell off the rear deck into a several ft deep air pocket concealed in @ 40" of snow when we lived in Camp Hill, impacting the bare ground in a sitting position (ouch but that must have hurt!). That was it: one sorry paraplegic little fellow thereafter - dragging his rear quarters everywhere he went (there was no movement in his rear legs - at all).. Took him to a noted regional Vet (would usually take him to U Penn Vet Hospital for emergencies). Surgery price tag was 7000. with no guarantees (and that was for starters). I obtained the cc of his X-rays and examined them; found a vertebra at an angle that was jammed directly on one side against the link behind it (even I could see the problem). Thing was: his spine appeared so delicate I feared some male with clumpy hands (I always not so jokingly said I'd rather have a female heart/brain surgeon: finer hands & better fine motor control (as a group)) couldn't handle such fine needlepoint type work. Discussed it with my wife. Shortly thereafter my engineering degreed computer applications developer wife said: "take him to Dr. Wisniewski!" We collected our belongings and *** and hit the road for the 210 mile one-way trip. Wisniewski reviewed the X-rays, examined ***, and said: I've got to go into the back office to get a better look at these films as my X-ray illuminator there is better (these are too fine). Long story short: Dr. Wisniewski composed and prepped *** on his adjustment table - and did what he does best: torqued, stretched, prodded, and digitally manipulated him, punctuated by periodic revisits to the X-rays. The next day we took him again and Wisniewski repeated the procedure. Wisniewski told us he wasn't licensed to treat pets - and of course there was no charge. Couple of days later one of ***'s rear legs showed signs of life and started to fire - spastically at first. Then the other leg followed the same pattern. Within a period of a couple of weeks time our beloved **** *** was back on all 4's; couple of weeks after that he was back in the yard making his daily rounds with his best buddy - a black **** he'd grown up with from the same breeder on named *** ***. Raymond Wisniewski, DC, added @ 5 mobile years back onto our beloved little ****'s life.. For that alone we will be forever grateful. And that doesn't even begin to consider what he has done for our problems over the years (both of us were "disarticulated" via rear hit auto accidents by drivers who weren't playing with full decks!). Just sayin' - Ray Wisniewski was/is our "total family chiropractor" - and he provides an alternative I learned to respect and appreciate when I was young living in Japan (never found anyone who knew more about the human body and how to treat it than the Japanese, along with the Chinese (and as a former decades long athlete and coach I learned a thing or two about physical therapists, trainers, orthos, coaches, and other body mechanics (there was a head trainer at Pitt in the 60s - who a couple of top national athlete friends of mine (*** **** and **** *******) told me: don't ever let him touch you if you don't want ruined permanently (I learned smart athletes avoided this man named "******," even for a tape job)), We owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Wisniewski and his expert body knowledge, hands, and skill set that can never be repaid.
