I cannot get a supervisor or anyone to help us. My daughters items were not delivered to her dorm as scheduled. We set up delivery to her dorm on Aug 27 in May and reached out to confirm that we were all set on two different occasions. When my daughter arrived on campus, her items were not there. Dorm room movers claims we canceled our delivery which is simply not true. After spending almost $1200 to store and deliver her items to her new room, they are now saying I owe another $399 to reschedule delivery and cannot seem to have a delivery date available or a supervisor who can help. How is this possible? This is not ok and should not happen to anyone else. I am in ******* and allowed my daughter to return to college in ******** alone assuming that her items would be waiting in her dorm for her. No sheets. No towels. No clothes. Not ok. We are sorry to hear of this issue. A full review was completed of the account activity for order #******. What we found was that due to a technical issue, the original date selected was removed. Our team worked diligently yesterday to get a new delivery set up for Sept. 5th, 2024 (at no extra cost, of course). We do understand this resolution was not the perfect outcome. And we hope that knowing your items are safe and will be delivered soon provides some relief.

I am extremely disappointed in how this company handles returning packages that are stored at their facilities. When we requested to have our boxes delivered back to my sons campus, the company does not send you any type of confirmation or update on the returns. I had to reach out many times to speak to someone to get the status of the return of the boxes to the campus. I was advised by an agent that she would contact me back once she received the status of the return, but she was very rude and never called me back. I reached out via email and was asked for confirmation of my email address and phone number, I sent that and never heard anything back. My son went to go pick up a package from another company at the mail room, to find out one of his boxes was delivered from Dorm Room Movers LLC and we had no idea that they had delivered it because they didnt send any type of confirmation or notice. It was just sitting there in the mail room. He had several items that were broken and destroyed in that package. This is very disappointing. Also, we have two other large boxes that were not delivered. So he only received one of his boxes with broken items inside and we have two boxes that have not been delivered. They have poor communication, because how do you send out packages for individuals without communicating deliveries and expectation of delivery dates. We put the most important items in storage, and now my son is starting school without having his items and also having items that are broken that we spent good money on. I will never use this company again, and I would suggest that no one else use this company. The exception of storing items with a company is that you will be able to retrieve those items back with ease and also receive them back in the same condition you sent the items.Dorm Room Movers LLC Response

We are truly sorry to hear that two of the boxes shipped through *** ground freight were not delivered. The tracking of this shipment is available to review in the online account. Upon review of the order, we did see that one of our senior supervisors reached out and provided these details as well. The two boxes in question appear to be stuck in transit and our senior supervisor will be following up to provide you with the instructions on how to initiate a claim with the coverage carrier for the shipment, *** Capital. These people are crooks. I paid them 1900 that was supposed to include pickup, 4 months of storage and delivery. Then they tell me they cant deliver my items unless I pay them an additional ******. I want to sue these people and I have reached out to a lawyer because I know 5 other people that have had issues. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. Upon reviewing the account it was noted that delivery could not be scheduled due to a billing issue. The last featured date we offered for no additional cost was yesterday, August 21st, 2024. Billing shows the storage balance was resolved yesterday as well. Unfortunately, due to the time of the final payment for the service, there was no way to set up a delivery on the last featured date. With our program pricing includes storage with pickup and delivery on the dates we feature for the campus and explains that all other dates (non-featured) will have an additional cost.
