We had a horrible experience where we had to ask the au pair on a daily basis to get off her phone, engage our children instead of sitting them in front of the TV, and to make them food vs. frozen meals, heat up chicken nuggets, etc. Not only this, but we would Aldo have to ask her to clean up after herself. We had to have a talk about her helping herself to our wine collection that was gifts from friends for our housewarming party a few months prior to the au pair arrival. We later started to turn on our video cameras when we left (she knew about them from day 1) in an attempt to compile everything to show the company since they knew we were unhappy. Not only did we find her leaving our 4 year old in charge of our youngest who was 2, but staying upstairs to fold all of their laundry while having them downstairs for up to 45 minutes alone. One of the times when she came back down the stairs she didn't know where our youngest was and was calling for her. I wish this was all that we found. We ended up finding her throwing a huge sticky fly trap at our 4 year old. The vompany handled this horribly, asked if we could keep her in our home for up to 2 weeks while they made arrangements for her. We told them she ended to be out that day, that they could send an Uber if needed. After she left we found out that she had crashed the car that we let her use, did not tell us about it, and even took the Sim card from the cellphone that we were paying gor and put it in her personal phone and was racking up charges for international use. I had called the company to see about getting our $500 back for the educational course that she was planning on attending. They said they had to refund it to the au pair since she made the original purchase. We never got that $ back, were out $ for selling back the car, and out $ for all of the therapy visits. To this day, our daughter still remembers this. I was taking her to therapy 2-3x/month due to various behavioral issues that arose after we got rid of the au pair. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. This company does not care for the children nor do they pride themselves on providing quality and exceptional child care. Your kids will have better care from the teenager next door.
