i am speaking for several residents in *************** Hughes county about the service we are getting from Cherokee Telephone co. , our phones are not working properly we have called and called them they have sent out a service person ****** to check it out, this is what we are being told, the problem is on or close to a piece of property that the line is close to and the owner has an electric fence and the grass is high that makes the telephone wire not work like it should, we contacted the person who owns the property and he says the electric fence is not causing the problem, as if it was his battery for the fence would be dead and it is not, he called Cherokee Tele and they told him they would recheck, in the meantime he has spent ****** of his money trying to do as Cherokee aske kill the tall grass, he did no difference, but we looked for around and we found a broken box that belongs to Cherokee tele. it is split almost all the way to the top. wires exposed, we contacted Cherokee and they said they would look into it, ****** the employee that came said Cherokee is not going to fix it because they do not have the money , we can not call 911 or anything as no one can hear us,. the phones are very bad , the wires are not buried or covered, please we need help to get this fixed we do have landlines and we pay for the services .
