I had been banking with FSNB for over 12 years before realizing they were taking money out of my account when I wasn't making any purchases. One day, a new employee asked if I knew they were charging me for not using my debit card. They were essentially stealing from me. I decided to switch to a bank that wouldn't rob me for not using my card. After transferring my money, I called them to close my account and requested an email confirmation of the closure. The representative assured me she would send it, but I never received it. When I called back the next day, they informed me that no such request had been made. I asked for the representative's name to report her to a supervisor, but the representative on the phone refused to provide it, even snickering at my request. The supervisor I eventually spoke to also treated the matter as a joke. They clearly care more about protecting employees who are not doing their job correctly than their customers. Before this, when I called to check if my funds had been transferred, another employee rudely demanded to know why I was changing banks, which was none of their business. This is the kind of treatment you can expect after being a loyal customer for over a decade. They are kind to you while you're banking with them, but once you decide to leave, they couldn't care less about you. They were probably upset because they had been taking money from me for so long. I would never recommend any of my friends or family to ever bank here, and I am glad I got out of there before they could take more money from me. I couldn't be happier with the bank I am with now!Review from Bradley M

I have been with FSNB for over 20 years. I moved out of the state of ******** in 2017, since that time my card becomes compromised about every 6-8 months. When notified, FSNB calls from a number that shows up as SPAM. Once I have contacted them, they tell me that I need to use their internet banking to get a new card issued (with a price mind you). The FSNB website is not useful at all, at setup your username and password will not work (I have had nothing but issues). IF FSNB is your only option, I recommend finding another financial institution to do business with, their best interest is not with the customer.Review from Roy P

Better Business Bureau Serving Central ******** 17 South ***** *************, ** ***** RE: Case#: ******This is a response to BBB complaint ******, customer ***********************. Dear ****************:I have reviewed your account and nature of your complaint. You opened an account with us on 3/8/2022 and requested overdraft protection on your account. Our disclosures were provided to you at account opening, including disclosures of our overdraft protection program. After reviewing your account activity, it appears that you use your debit card regularly. Please be advised that you will be assessed a $20.00 fee every time we pay an item that overdraws your account. You can reduce these fees by taking out what you need in cash at one time, instead of using your debit card for each individual purchase, resulting in multiple overdraft fees.As a courtesy, I have refunded 6 overdraft fees totaling $120.00, effective today (4/11/2023). Our posting order was disclosed to you in your disclosure book giving to you at account opening.I also wanted to provide some additional clarification for how items post. As to pending vs. posted transactions, transactions are processed and "hard" posted to accounts at the end of each business day. Business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or Federal Holidays. Transactions may initially show on your account in a "pending" status. Pending status means that the transaction amount has been debited from your available balance but has not been processed by the bank. Example 1: Debit card or ATM withdrawals made on Wednesday will post in a pending status and be debited from your available balance. When we process at the end of business Wednesday night, those transactions may hard post to your account depending on the merchant. Example 2: Debit card or ATM withdrawals made on Saturday or Sunday will post in a pending status and be debited from your available account balance. On Monday when we process at the end of the business day, those transactions made on Saturday or Sunday will "hard" post to your account.Transactions normally do not post in the order in which you make them due to the way different merchant's process transactions. The time of day that a transaction is done can also be a factor in when the merchant processes a transaction. We receive an item to post to your account when it is sent to us by the merchant and some merchants process items more quickly than others. When checking your balance, transactions that have hard posted to your account will show with the date the transaction hard posted to your account. Transactions that are still in a pending status will show with the word Pending and the amount will be deducted from your available balance. The available balance may include transactions that are still in a pending status. As to our posting order, credits are posted to your account first, and then debit items are paid from smallest to largest within each category within the same business day. The categories are:Reversal of returned deposit (Chargebacks)Withdrawals made at our teller windows Telephone transfers Scheduled automatic transfers between accounts Transfers made with our online banking & mobile banking Outgoing wire transfers ATM withdrawals or ATM transfers between accounts Recurring debit card transactions Other debit card transactions ACH debit transactions All other checks drawn on your account Other fees and service charges You can contact us at any time to remove overdraft protection on your account or to remove your opt in for overdraft protection on ATM and everyday debit card transactions. Please contact us if you have any further question about the overdraft protection on your account at ************.Sincerely,************************* Compliance OfficerReview from Jay T

Worst customer service, ever. They literally don't care that we have NO FOOD right now outside of 4 eggs and our dog is living off noodles. These demons told my mother that if she paid 10 dollars they'd get her card replacement to her via priority mail. It has been FIVE DAYS and it still hasn't arrived. We called back, and these jerks read off a script telling you "oh we can't guarantee anything and it could take up to 20 days" -- WHAT THE **** DO YOU THINK THIS IS??? THE ****s??? It's 2023, my mom ordered her medicine FROM ********** the day AFTER talking to FSNB, and got them yesterday. We are in **, a card from FSNB should not take "up to 20 days" that is so Fing insane. You locked her account for "security reasons" when there was no need, and now have locked us out of money for god knows how long. Do you guys not even care that people rely on the money in your bank? we're surviving off one meal a day, plain eggs with nothing else, and our dog is now down to noodles, because we can't even use our checking acct info to buy food from Amazon, you've locked the whole account down with no sense of urgency in getting a card to **, after conning my mom out of 10 bucks for "priority" shipping. What a joke, what horrible soulless customer service agents devoid of any real care or concern for human beings!!!!!!!!!!Review from Franklin L

They erroneously filed a chargebacks against my business totaling over $1,400. They admitted that it was done in error yet they have still not released my funds over 2 months later. When asked why the funds have not been released I am only told that they can hold the funds for up to 90 days. So they can make a mistake, take my funds immediately, and I have to wait 3 months to get back money that should have never been taken to begin with? How is that remotely fair? Their reps have been flat out rude over the phone and not helpful in resolving an issue that they caused. Holding money from a small business unjustly just because you can is not a fair business practice at all. They should be ashamed of themselves. This put my account in the negative and cost me fees that they aren't even willing to cover. FSNB is a horrible institution and their F rating on BBB is well deserved.Review from Tina S.

I called to get a direct deposit form because it is not avaible online for my banking. In conversation with *****, i said " i never had to wait 48 hours for a direct deposit form, normally i can pick it up but she informed me that that was the only way. As she put me on hold. I was having a conversation with my employer and was saying that maybe i need to switch banks, that i'm in a new area. The lady, *****, comes on the line to tell me making statements like that, that she is removing my overdraft." And preceeded to tell me that there's nothing i can do about it. Shame on your employees because i will be finding a friendlier bank.Review from Athenia F
