This incident occurred on May 19th at 8:50pm. - my car was being towed 1.3 miles to a tire repair shop after having the tire blow out, leaving me stranded on the side of the road - my fianc called the tow company and said we had $200.00 and asked if that would cover the distance, to which the owner said, Yeah that should work.- the towing company Ocean Towing arrived at 8:50 and loaded my car on the vehicle and instructed me to stay in the car to drive it onto the tow platform - after steering it onto the platform, I asked, Can I get out now? and the tow guy said, Sure, well, you can just stay there. and I said, Are you sure? to which he replied, Yeah its fine. - thinking he was going to do some more work to load the car or secure it, I stayed in the vehicle which was on the tow bed and then getting lifted into position. - he then drive off with me in the car, elevated on the platform, the car was still running as he didnt instruct me to turn it off - The ride was very bumpy and rough, he also went to the wrong tire shop and made an illegal u-turn to go to the correct location - I was jostled in the car multiple times, especially while he made a u-turn - upon arrival to the correct location, my fianc met me there - as the tow guy was getting the receipt ready, my fianc arrived - when the tow guy handed me the receipt, it was not itemized at all and just had a total of $200.00, which was never agreed upon to take all of our cash - I then asked for an itemized receipt and said that it seems very high for a 1.3 mile tow - he refused to give me a receipt and called his boss - my fianc called the boss himself and said that its illegal for me to have rode in the car on the tow platform - the owner said, how can I make this right? to which my fianc asked for an apology from the driver and an itemized receipt, he said it was odd that the cost of the tow was all the money he said we had - The owner on the phone said, just give the driver $100
