We ordered a shed in late September, 2021. We paid 50% down and were told that we would get an installation date in 2-3 weeks. At 4 weeks with no call (late October, 2021), we inquired about the installation date, and were told that the scheduler was out of the office and would get back to us as soon as he was in the office. We received a call the next day with an installation date in early December, 2021.On Nov 18 or 19, we called to discuss moving the installation date out because of the heavy rains experienced throughout the region, preventing us from preparing the site. We were told that the scheduler was out of the office and would get back to us as soon as he was in the office.Early one morning the week of Thanksgiving, we received a call from the installation team, telling us they were 40 minutes out, When told the site wasn't ready, they turned back. Later that morning, Better Built office staff called to ask what happened. We told them that we weren't expecting them until early December, that the site wasn't ready due to ongoing heavy rains, and that we were still waiting to hear back from the scheduler about the possibility of rescheduling. We were told that the scheduler would call us as soon as he was in the office.We managed to ready the site prior to our scheduled delivery date, but when that date came, there was no installation crew. We contacted Better Built to inquire and were told that:- Our installation date was never the early December date.- We were notified of the installation date by text message (To a landline which is not text message enabled, as made clear to Better Built when the order was placed).- That a return trip charge would be added to our **** on completion because we refused delivery in November.- That the scheduler (also the business owner) had not been seen in the office since prior to our Nov 18/19 phone call.- That the phone number of the scheduler/owner was not available to customers or even to Better Built staff to discuss any scheduling issues.- That nobody in the Better Built office had been delegated authority to make any business decisions, other than sales, in the absence of the owner.We cancelled our order and received a full refund.

I apologize for the delay in getting your installation scheduled. We have since changed the way we do scheduling to avoid future problems like the ones you encountered. Thank you for the review!

I have initially contacted this business on 4/12/2021 through phone call trying to order a shed at my location. The lady told me to design it online through their webpage, so I did and got an email confirmation. I called them to confirm acceptance of my order, the lady I talked to could not find my order first. Then told me it was on her desk, and someone will call me back. I waited for three days and no one called me back, so I called them again. Another lady picked up the phone said the same thing that she could not find my order, put me on the phone for almost three min. And came back said it was on her desk again, transferred me to another person, then this new person told me they would call me back in a couple of days. Two more days passed by, no call from them, so I called them again. This time it was another lady picked up the phone, after she talked to another person, she blamed me on not getting back to them. She told me the other person works there told her that I was not ready to pay, they were waiting on me to call back. I was really not happy at that time, but decided to look past the misunderstanding, because I really needed to get the shed built here on my farm. I told her sincerely it was an misunderstanding, and can I please get a building date. She then told me I have to pay to be able to get a date, so I did. After I paid, I have been calling them almost everyday to get a building date. Every single time I called, they said the coordinator who gives out the date was not there, she or he would call me back early next week. Actually, there was once they said that person who gives out the date was there, just not around his/her desk. This morning when I called again, Shea who picked up the phone told me he or she would call me early next week again, I just placed my order and they don’t have a date until early next week. It is SO funny that I heard the same thing last week from some other lady who worked there! Finally I asked them their owner, or managers phone number, they told me they are not allowed to give that info out. I am reporting them because I believe that there is NEVER going to be a building date for me. What a waste of my time!! These people just take customers money.

We called the customer with a schedule date and the customer was not happy with our current lead time. We refunded the customer their deposit on 4/21/21
