As we have explained to you, multiple times, and **** at Pricor has explained to you, you did not pay a dime to have the work that we did fixed. You did not have our work inspected and it did not fail. You were informed it would not have passed when the sewer department came out to determine if the problem on your sewer line was on their side or your side, but that was not an "inspection." They just saw the work and mentioned that it was incorrect and that a permit needed to be pulled. The field inspector could not have known that a permit was in the process of being pulled at the time he was there.
When we came out to install the clean-out, you did not have any working drains in your home. Under emergency circumstances like those, it is customary to do the work and start the permitting process either at the same time, or after the work is done, and leave the work uncovered so the inspector can come by later to inspect it. We did pull a permit and once we found out the work was incorrect, we were going to come and fix it. We warranty all of the work we do and if something is wrong or doesn't work, we absolutely fix it. Before we were able to fix the cleanout, you had contracted with Pricor to line your sewer line to fix the more extensive problems you were having with your sewer line. You had also indicated that you were unhappy with the work that we had done. We have a good working relationship with ****, the owner of ******, and we discussed with him the best way to handle getting the cleanout we installed fixed. Since he was going to be working on-site already, he offered to fix the cleanout on our behalf. In doing so, he included it under his permit for the work he was doing, so we canceled ours.
In effect, we subcontracted Pricor to complete the work at your home to bring it up to code and pass inspection. This only happened because they were on site already doing further work that we don't have the equipment or expertise to do. You did not pay them to fix our mistake. They did not charge you to fix it. You know this, **** at Pricor wrote it very clearly on your invoice and he even sent you an additional letter stating that. We have both made that very clear to you. I'm very sorry you were unhappy with the way the situation played out, but you contracted us to use the water ****** on your sewer line, camera the line, and install a cleanout. We did all of those things for you. We absolutely acknowledge that the materials used for the cleanout were initially incorrect, but they were corrected and passed inspection.
