    Super disappointed about the 75% rate increase in less than 1.5 years. I started a policy for my dog Kona right after adopting her in ********, *****. I cannot believe how a company can do this to clients who have been so loyal, not to mention that I haven't used the policy in over two years. I heard the babble from theri customer service/retention team that the claims experience for the collective book of business has not run well. I will never feel sorry for an insurance company (they always make money). It's sad that at the end of the day, this company and it's employees couldn't care less and feign compassion. I wonder how their employees would react if they received a 75% rate increase in less then 1.5 years on their health insurance premium. Would they just accept their brokers compassion and apology for the rising cost of their premiums? Bottom line is that my message will fall on deaf ears. Its all about money!!!!!!!!If your company doesn't make a HUGE profit then s**** the clients. Nothing can convince me otherwise. shaft.In addition, they never sent notice of renewal and I just happened to see that the new premium was pending on my bank statement. Since I am on automatic bank draft, this 37.8% rate increase is just debited from my account. They advised that they will credit my checking account, but it is the principle of increasing a policyholder this inane amount without their consent and ability to discuss beforehand.The clients always get the shaft and loyalty be damned!Regards,*************************************

    I just signed up with Healthy Paws after being with ano***r provider with increasing premiums. I took my dog to *** vet because he ate something and had diarrhea. Because he had also been treated before a couple of times in 5 years for diarrhea, Healthy Paws did not pay. They said it was a pre-existing condition. His "Diarrhea" is a symptom of a virus or infection, not a chronic condition. OUTRAGEOUS! Calling **************** now and filing a claim for not receiving services rendered. Will include *** WHO's definition of diarrhea with my claim that states it is a symptom, not a condition unless o***rwise noted like Crohn's, IBS, Cancer etc.

    We're never happy when we have to deny a claim for a client. All claim decisions are based on your pets medical records and the signs/symptoms that are noted in those records by your veterinarian. Most pet insurance companies including Healthy Paws use a pet's medical records to determine if there are any pre-existing conditions that would keep us from approving a claim. While your Healthy Paws plan covers the costs of veterinary treatment related to an accident, illness or injury where the clinical signs or symptoms were first present after the enrollment date and waiting periods, pre-existing conditions are not covered by your plan. As such, we were unable to provide coverage for your recent claims as that condition was pre-existing based on the medical records provided by your veterinarian. Were sorry to lose you as a policyholder and hope you and your pet stay well.
