I went through bookings.com to get a ********************** room in Anchorage for my son who was coming back from fishing in Bristol Bay. Needless to say, he got to the Alex ********************** and carried his bags up 3 flights of stairs because the elevator was broke and then opened the door to his room and there were hornets flying around! He continued into the bathroom where he found it was dirty, a bunch of black hair all over the place. My son was tired and just wanted a nice room, clean & comfortable to sleep until he could get on the plane the next day and head for home. My son called around to try and find availability in another ********************** and about 2 hours later a friend called and said they would come over and get him out of there (and they also told him there was a murder at that ********************** a month ago!) My son went to the front desk and said the room is NOT going to work for me, handed the lady his keys and asked for a refund! The lady told him he would need to speak to the manager but they were not in, so my son said ** leaving, can I speak with the manager via phone tomorrow because Im checking out, the lady said yes. I tried to talk to the Alex ********************** and everyone kept saying my son did not check out. I finally spoke to ***, the accounting manager and he said they would not refund our money because I needed to contact booking.com, in which I have also spoken with them several times and they told me the opposite, I needed to get refunded from the Alex **********************. All we want is a complete refund, my son said it had hornets and was dirty. ***********************
